Just looking for some advice. I have been playing a tank while leveling and I am not by any means a great tank, but I have noticed that shaman healers have a hard time healing me on my death knight.
Is this common? If so, what advice would you give a tank so you can keep up?
Thank you.
Shaman is not a very good tank healer. We are the only healer without access to an external cooldown (Spirit Link and Earthen Wall kinda count, but they’re not tank externals).
We have plenty of healing cooldowns to rotate through, and we have strong healing throughput, but we cannot prevent damage. If you’re getting one shot, or getting hit too hard too often, a Shaman healer can’t really save you the way say, an Evoker with Time Dilation or a Holy Paladin with BoP/Sac can. We can spam heals on you, and it’ll work, but it’s not what we’re strongest at.

It may also be the dungeon vs your level.
I recently leveled a druid tank when my play ti.e was limited and there was a rough patch where I was late lvl 30s tanking freehold and we just could not get past the 2nd boss. I was just gibbed. And it wasnt just me dps were getting plowed.
I really thought the dungeon was bugged. Then I leveled through quests and hit lvl 40s and had no more issues tanking.
