Need some advice

Hello experts. I’ll admit i have absolutely no clue about computer specs and whats good. Played shadowlands and had the problem in high population areas, raids, bgs, outdoor bosses that my framerate would crash and my load times would take forever. So im looking to upgrade my PC.

What are your opinions of this?

VENGEANCE i7300 Gaming PC, i7-12700K, RTX 3060 Ti, 1TB M.2, 16GB DDR4-3200

Specwise its fine. How much are you paying for it?

Thanks for the reply. The price is $2,000.

If that is for the desktop alone then that is very pricey.

For a prebuilt of similar specs you’re looking closer to the 1500 ballpark.

Are you located near a Microcenter? Lately they’ve been doing insane deals. You can pick up parts in stores and pay them to build it for you.

Whatever a microcenter is I have no idea. So im gonna say no. Im not to worried about the price, i would just like to know if its going to play the game how it’s meant to. Currently if try to run around Valdrakken I’m frozen 80% of the time and if i get into a dungeon i freeze up as everyone starts with their blasting.

A quick glance at bestbuy. They have some prebuilts that are better.

Thats weaksauce spec for the price. Try

Core i5-13600K
Thermalright Frost Commander 140
MSI Z790-A Pro Wifi DDR4
G.Skill 32GB DDR4-3600 CL16
Asrock RX 6800 XT 16GB
Kingston KC3000 1TB
Corsair RM850x
Lian Li Lancool 216

Don’t think OP wants to build but that can be me assuming.

He didn’t specify prebuilts only. If he can go with custom, it will be better. Even after he buys all the parts and pay someone to build for him, still cheaper.

Yes i forgot to mention im only interested in prebuilt. Since i have no clue what all this stuff is.

The Corsair for $2000 dollars is a rip off it comes with a 3060ti which is about a $400 dollar GPU with a $2000 dollar budget you expect a higher class gpu something that cost $800+ like a RTX 3080 or Radeon Rx 6950.

The two most expensive parts in your computer that will have the most impact on your performance is going to be the CPU and GPU. For WoW a mid tierish $300-350 CPU like the i5-13600k, Ryzen 7 7700x or Ryzen 7 5800x3d will be more than enough for wow, the GPU really depends on how much you want to spend a $400 3060ti or rx6750 will give you more than acceptable performance but with a $2000 prebuilt i would accept nothing less than a 3080 or RX 6950.

Looking at a online system integrator iBuypower they have a 13600k/ 3060ti build for 1399 for 2k they have 13700k/7700x 3080 builds. This is not an endorsement for ibuypower but their prebuilt sales prices tend to be pretty competitive.

Thanks for the advice.

Ibuy has some good prices. A lot of their parts they use are good. The water coolers are supposed to be really bad though. They just switched suppliers for their branded 240mm units but you won’t be getting them in prebuilts. Custom builds are slow from them as well and who knows if you will get the parts you picked. I finally canceled mine from them when they couldn’t get my “free” upgrades. I finally got an email 2 weeks after cancelling they are refunding my $2200.

Similar to what you’re looking for but $600 cheaper:

It’s wow being the problem with freezes but you can always try updating your video card driver’s and doing it as a clean install. Mind you I did that yesterday and still freeze up even when just sitting in the city.

i second getting the prebuilts from ibuypower or cyberpower pc. I’m going to add that you should consider getting a solid power supply unit with enough wattage to power the PC
