Hi folks. I’m trying to get my Dreadful Void Focus. Can someone share some Shred of Insanity farming tips?
I’ve heard various things but I’m looking for either the biggest payoff or most reliable way of doing so.

Run mythics, you get more. If you don’t want to do mythic anything, run lfr. That’s how I got my 1st 20 pretty fast.
Now I have to get 200 but have been pvp’ing. Not as many in pvp.
Thank you. I mostly do pvp and noticed that wpvp (battle for naz) and sometimes 5 at once in Ashran seem to work.
I can only do up to Mythic 9/10. Would this be enough? Does it drop more often if I go higher?

No, that’s good enough for mythic. You get about 10 to 20 from each boss, iirc. I read that about a month ago.
Anyway, it’s true you get more from running dg’s and raids. GL and have fun.

Heya OP, well my hordies are doing fine playing epic BGs. My allies are waaaay behind. I’m also playing Battle for Naz when I can. Not sure if small BGs give a decent amount if you play a lot of them… ?
probably spamming low cr 3’s would be the quickest
iirc it’s around 1 per win with the possibility of occasionally getting 0
ideally you kill the first 3-5 bosses on heroic every week (they drop 10 each) but if you’re exclusively a pvp oriented player
arena wins 1 ish per
and bg wins give anywhere from 1-5 (i think hks in general have a low chance to give them) so win or lose you walk away with a couple usually
In pvp small bg’s is what I was doing and I’d usually get anywhere from 1 to 5, I think.
That’s small ones though and not rated anything. If you look it up on wowhead it’ll tell you how much you can get from each thing you do.
From Wowhead comment section: " World boss and Normal raid boss will grant one Shred of Insanity per weekly kill. Heroic raid boss is 10 Shred of Insanity and Mythic raid boss 20 Shred of Insanity.
Arenas and Batlegrounds has a % to come as reward after a win.
World PvP - Low chance from a Honorable Kill."

Honorable kill works in epic bg too, you just need to be close where a lot of people dies. Like Ashran or Wintergrasp. Stay in the wall (on the workshop side) and blast people with demo and profit.
Most importantly stay alive even if it means only using pistol shots as an outlaw rogue, that’s how I farm with my alts. Yeah I’m a bad player I know.
I’ve done a lot of keys and haven’t seen a one. I’m about halfway through my 200 grind and most have been from normal and heroic raid boss kills with some arena sprinkled in there. Pretty sure the highest per hour without a lockout is going to be arena wins

Got all mine from the heroic raid.
Seen them from the world boss, but never from keys.
