The Keystone legend achievement " reward " isn’t a real reward, sure keys not going bellow 12 is nice but I wouldn’t call it a reward. Why are blizzard devs so stingy on rewards for end game content? Every month they have a ton of new transmogs, mounts, pets, etc. for the trading post but they can’t be bothered to reward players for actually pushing hard content?
Some of my coolest transmog looks are basically fully from the Trading Post and I just think that’s so wrong. Do better.

While I wouldn’t object to more rewards, the problem is whenever they do add more, more people feel entitled to them. It’s a constant cycle of players making demands and Blizzard caving and lowing the bar and we are back to square one. It wasn’t too long ago where Portals used to be a 2-5% thing, now it’s ~15%. It seems like KSH is the new KSM. Before that, the KSM mount used to feel more rewarding as well.

I would like to see more rewards for M+ but after a point it kinda feels all the same. Oh boy another pet, another recolored mog.
Maybe if they added a new campfire scene for our warbands, and when player housing comes out, new things for that, the rewards could feel fresh for awhile.

For sure, it would be nice to see more than just pets, mounts, etc.
The new no key depletion is nice but other rewards to incentivize people to push themselves a bit more would be nice.
I think timing all 12’s would be a nice middle ground for any skilled player.

That coupled with the redesigned +12 affix should make it more obtainable.
because people like to buy runs to get things they didn’t earn.
we dont need a 439530698430698305th carrot.
just make it fun… remove depletion, at all key level, all the time.
redoing lower keys that you don’t need is nothing but frustrating.

glad they are giving us a new reward, just disappointed that it’s another mount.
way too much mount bloat in the game - it doesn’t even mean anything to receive a mount anymore, even the ones that look great (see trading post). Plus there was already a mount associated with Mythic+
We could have had a class specific cosmetic (skin for druid forms, weapon appearance for warriors, etc.)…but i guess that would require effort
I hope the systems/rewards designers have a better imagination and creativity in the future xpacs.

it will be player housing decorations next expansions. here’s another slightly less green lamp.

They do that so you will keep pushing the content, not get the rewards on week 1 and move on to another game.
Because it is still a subscription based game, keeping people playing longer is much more important than an enjoyable experience.

There used to be very powerful gear and mogs and currencies (and i think even cutscenes) tied to the hardest content in the game (mythic raid back then.) Players complained that they don’t like feeling like they have to play the game like a second job to get some bis gear piece, generally. They tried to add infinitely scaling gear or systems before and people disliked it, generally. They said “just make the rewards for grinding x cosmetics,” no joke.
We still have a problem that some bis items come from raid or m+. Like a lot of tanks need court tank trinket and desire to get it in mythic quality, so they have to raid just to have the best stuff to push m+. And there’s been seasons where m+ had an exclusive trinket that was bis like the stat trinket from underrot, so raiders have to go farm a specific dungeon for a trinket. Spymasters, gale, skardyn’s, etc etc. If I could get wings or surekei or queen ring or whatever without raiding I just wouldn’t raid. In fact after i got the queen ring from vault after 3 kills I haven’t gone back except for a pull or 2 for a friends guild here or there. Huge time sync, not what i want to do after work. If the rewards from m+ infinitely scaled like m+ does then raiders and completionists would feel forced to infinitely push m+. People also don’t like what they call “FOMO” stuff which is why the bar for KSM has been lowered more and more every season. And I don’t take the supposedly fomo rewards as being that special these days since blizz is liable to throw them up on trading post whenever they want, like the formerly exclusive refer a friend rewards.
That’s why a lot of the rewards now are just achievements, titles, cosmetics, collections, etc. But you are right I think that after +10/2500 there’s not really anything unless you want to ditch your current favorite toon and play meta to try for the title nobody except those that tried to get it will even recognize as anything special. If someone was using one from shadowlands in front of me right now in dornogol i wouldn’t even know, in part cause i have titles turned off. And if i didn’t i still wouldn’t know.
Because the game originally had 2 types of people. Good players who earn what they get, and bad players who dream of becoming good to earn the best reward. Those should be the only target audience for this game. However when WoW became super popular with TBC and WotLK, terrible players who were not part of the original taret audience started flooding in and crying about not being handed gift rewards. That’s why starting with cata and mop we start seeing a lot of catering for this audience with things like LFR and welfare epics/legendaries, things clearly designed for bad players. However this was a good ROI for blizzard because a lot of the original target audience was sticking around and now they also have this new crowd of people who you would have guessed are the kind of idiot buying shop mounts for $100 to have access to the AH while sitting outside the AH.
But basically from that point on (cata/mop) blizzard has stayed away from properly rewarding good players because it makes the bad players who shouldn’t even be playing this game, jealous.
How old do you think the average WoW player is, man? We aren’t skipping class to cash bowls and do 14 hour marathons with dreams of WoW greatness anymore. We hop on in between dinner and bed a couple nights a week.
You can earn rewards without doing marathon runs. It’s about using our time efficiently.
I’m really looking forward to getting the new mount.
Because elitists wanna feel special. Not saying that’s bad or unreasonable, mind you. But what used to be insane feats is now just what endgame is.
