You have a very different view from mine about “cheesing the system.” If players actually cared about their loot they wouldn’t be leaving until the roll was over. They can wait a few seconds before dipping out. Of all the complaints Ive seen about the new system, this one is by far the weakest.

It feels like there is a perception that the fact people are seeing the loot more clearly now that they are somehow missing out by losing the roll. Instead of before where you’d lose the roll, and pretty easily just ignore it.
So many of these posts read like no one is getting gear… except someone is getting the gear. It’s just not them and they’re really salty about it.

It’s painfully obvious who actually read how the system works and who didn’t. Then they spread this incorrect information to other people who didn’t read it and turns into this.
Even someone on the “community council” doesn’t understand how it works.
It’s really sad how they don’t understand nothing is changing lol.

Yeah except now, your main spec takes priority and if it has to be an upgrade. So if people are needing on things they don’t need, they will not get priority on the roll. It’s not a big deal lol

If you don’t need it, you won’t get it over someone it’s an actual upgrade for. So, yeah. You’re not ruining anything

no if you roll a higher than them you get it its only if you’re the same roll
So people can roll need on an item that will give them 2 more secondary stat and 1 more ilvl against someone who it would be a 25 ilvl upgrade? I dont see how this is healthy for the community.

An upgrade is an upgrade and everyone is able to roll on an upgrade.
This isn’t a guild group so no they shouldn’t be forced to pass on a small upgrade because you think the person with the biggest upgrade should get it.
How is this any different that personal loot?

Not really. Transmog is a path of character profession so just coz I have something higher ilvl I cans till roll for something with a lower ilvl for transmogrification Thad’s an upgrade and need before greed allows that.

People won’t even be able to roll need on something that isn’t a definite up, so that isn’t even an issue. Like, you won’t be able to roll need on a “sideways up” (same ilev, preferred stats).
The current system wouldn’t give you that mog piece over someone it’s an upgrade for.
Tell me you didn’t read a single word of how the new loot system works without telling me you didn’t read a single word.

The system won’t allow you to roll need on the item unless it’s a definite ilevel increase. Your transmog progression is irrelevant.
OK then people will just go in won’t a green item from the AH and roll need. Since the item I am wearing is an lower level item.
If if that’s the case why would people join lfr and carry others? People do it for trnasmog all the time. Good luck getting over power players carrying others than. Say good bye to 18k dps or 150k HP tanks in lfr
