Long Story short regardless of what I say people still flame me all day all night for being a Paladin who won’t self admit my class is Jesus Christ.
I always hear % of teams high rated, or I am always given statistics by people randomly in discord that they never prove. things like
“Paladins are the top % of teams in Arena”
“Paladins are top 5% class in SS”
etc etc, I just wanted to know where this info is coming from.
Not here to defend or attack nothing, I just want to know where people are getting this info because I completely do not believe what 99% of people say about statistics or about my Class in general.
The best thing I have found is to just look at the top 1000 players in my NA arena rating and count the paladins and turn that into a %, which is nowhere near the reality of what people tell me is true for top % players.
WoW Arena Logs is probably the best one to easily see spec/class strength.
At one point, Ret was 20% of the total ladder for ALL dps. That is the highest any spec has ever had on the ladder. The next spec/class to come close were rogues in Cata and they were at 20% above 2200.
I think people are misunderstanding how these % work. If a Paladin reached high rank during their 2 or 3 weeks of being absolutely busted wouldn’t they still have that high rating towards the end of the season which would secure a higher %.
I wish these website had a active player list which is why idk if I trust it to be accurate.
But I guess things are measured by season and not on a week by week base.

No prob. Honestly speaking, I’m not really sure what people would be coping about. Ret was busted even after multiple nerfs. The complaints were warranted. Even after the second round of nerfs, ret was still the best DPS by a large margin.
Glad they didn’t get gutted, but nice to see they are manageable finally.
