i am currently 154 ilvl and it owned me at low hp, should i do it as fury or prot or what? i am unsure of what to do, i do it all relatively easy til him
I am not sure how to offer assistance. I always down him rather quickly at 8k DPs. His mechanic is that he eats Obleron(sp?) enhancements as the fight drags on; so, if your Torghast build relies on them, you get weaker the longer the fight lasts.
My friend who is fury doesnt have a problem with it apparently. Google the best anima powers for your class/spec
Main strat against that boss is to stun him and burn him down, has to when exactly i heard it was best when he had 5 stacks, but i wouldnt know for sure.
Arms has a pretty broken anima power that allows you to spam condemn on any target, combined with he 0.5 sec stun it makes you able to pretty much perma stun the boss
But yeah, you need a reliable stun so maybe for talent that Hammer thing over Double Time

Wouldnt know tbh, Fury is… garbage, like competing for worst spec at the moment, plus they lack defense which Arms does have.
Anyway, try to have that Stun talent, should help
The main issue is the low ilvl. This can be somewhat remedied by playing prot. But Maw of the Maw specifically consumes Obleron powers; if you have a lot of them you’re going to get weak, fast. Be on the lookout for great powers like Scratched Knife and Executioner’s Hook.
I’ve heard, Tanks and Healers have an easier time as they scale a little less then as Dps, I main Warlock so I can’t tell personally, that’s what I’ve read through forums.
My suggestion, just go Protection spec, honestly set a day aside, spam heroics (drops ilvl 171 gear), you’ll have pretty much Insta queues and bump your ilvl a little higher.
In saying all that, Torghast is a slot machine simulator, if you get lucky with Anima Power, you’ll literally walk through it, get unlucky, it’s still doable, but takes twice aslong.
All I can say is you really need to try to disrupt his obnoxious spells

Very smart, PvP gear is gold and quick ilvl boost, heck some of their trinkets is close to BiS for pve!!
