I hope this is the right forum, if instead I should be in technical support or elsewhere please let me know.
I have two accounts (not a multi boxer, just like having the extra bag space for classic really) and I like both open at once.
I have two monitors.
If I tell account 1 to be on monitor A, next time I open account 2 it is on monitor while I want account 2 on monitor B.
How can I permanently tell each account to be on a specific monitor and not the same monitor as each other? Right now I have to toggle settings every time I log in as both accounts will take the screen selection of whichever I set last.
I’m not sure if this will work, but I think you could try setting the gxMonitor cVar for each account. And then if the monitors still keep reverting, try setting the gxMonitor cVar and the synchronizeConfig cVar for each account.
To set just gxMonitor, log into a character on each account and arrange the windows to be on the monitors you want. Then for the monitor 1 account, type into chat:
/console gxMaximize 1
And for the monitor 2 account, type into chat:
/console gxMaximize 2
Try closing both WoW windows and relaunching. If the accounts went to the right monitors, great! If not, do the same commands again, but follow each one with:
/console synchronizeConfig 0
I don’t have two monitors, so I can’t test if the above will work, but I think it might, and I wish you luck!

Um, oops. I copied the wrong line from the gxMonitor article. And after re-reading, I also think I misunderstood how to specify monitor numbers for the gxMonitor cVar. Try this instead, if you’re still looking for a solution.
In the chat window of the account that is currently on monitor 1 and you want to stay on monitor 1:
/console gxMonitor 0
/console synchronizeConfig 0
In the chat window of the account that is currently on monitor 2 and you want to stay on monitor 2:
/console gxMonitor 1
/console synchronizeConfig 0
