Need help with gear comparison that I don't know how to sim in Raidbots

Ok so I’m not sure if Raidbots can do this paritcular sim that I want to do. Or if it can, I don’t know how to do it.

So essentially I FK’ED up . I forgot about how you can only have 2 Embellished items.

So I’m hoping to get some advice. So I’m an Lvl 70 Devestation Evoker . Currently item Level 382. I’m mostly casual, via LFR’s and the occasional mythic dungeon.

So here is the dilemma:

**- Hands: Scale Rein Grips (item Lvl 386 - only 3 * quality… planned to recraft in time)

** - Shoulders: Acestor’s Dew Drippers (item Lvl 386 - only 3 * quality… planned to recraft in time)

These are part of a set called “Horizon Strider’s Garments” and I have 2/3 that is needed. The set effect being: Critical Damage and healing have a chance to spur you on, granting Haste for 10 sec. This effect stacks up to 5 times"

So i stupidly got an order done from a guildie to create the following:

**- Neck: Elemental Lariat. (item Lvl 405 - 5 star). Had it made with Haste and Mastery.
-I’ve socked it with the full 3 sockets. But have not bought the gems yet.
This item has also an equipped power: "Your Spells and abilities have a chance to empower one of your socketed Elemental gems, granting 499 of their associated stat for 12 sec.)

So my questions is:

What do I do? The Elemental Lariat is a sure up over my current neck piece (Lucky Hunting Charm - iLvl 382), but because it’s also an embellished gear, I’d have to take off one of the other 2, breaking the set.

So I wanted to sim to see if I’m better off getting a different necklace, or getting a different Shoulder / Hands .

I don’t know how to weigh in the Set bonus of those 2 items… vs losing that.

The nice thing about having that 2 piece set (gloves and hands) is that I can still get my Class set (4 piece) . So I can have both.

But that elemental Lariat is so strong. So I’m really not sure what to do.

Just select top gear in raid bots, and select your replacement necklace, gloves, and shoulders. I ran a sim with a 405 lariat socketed with 3 88 mastery gems compared against 386 flame-touched gear with similar crafted stats as your gloves/shoulders. Lariat is a little over 2% better after breaking the set bonus.

Gloves/shoulders would share with tier, so you would not be able to keep this 2 set while getting your 4 set tier bonus. The 5 slots for tier are helm, shoulders, chest, legs, and gloves.

Ah thank you. I didn’t realize both were using class set spots.

Well given I’ll need to replace those hands/Shoulders with my Set gear anyway, it’s ok. I’ll still be able to use the Lariat. And given then, I’ll have room for a 2nd Embellished spot, I’ll probably get Venom-Steeped Stompers for the feet.
