So my Dad is a returning WoW player he played for 13 years then quit he liked shaman and druid Mained them and played a bit of every other class. That being said niether of us know how much its changed he said he stopped playing right before cataclysm hit so a big problem we have is he wants me to heal because he is tired of healing he is also and elitist and is saying he will not group with me unless i heal. But i love enh shaman( my main) but he wants ME to heal and i dont want to. All i know is WoW is easier if he picks a druid or fighter dose he need a dedicated healer or can i go enh and he can do his thing while we group or is a dedicated healer needed no matter what. I will be happy to hear from everybody just know that i really wanna stick to ENH but if you guys say he is right i will try mistweaver monk. Thankyou
sincerely, Witherering
It depends what content you want to do. There is absolutely no need for a dedicated healer if you are just doing leveling content. If you want to group up for dungeons the game will form a group for you consisting of a healer, tank and 3 dps so there is no need for you to heal if you don’t want to. The only downside is it can be a longer wait for dps and it’s usually a bit faster if you queue as a healer. It’s usually even faster if you queue as a tank so if your dad wants to tank that is the fastest way to get into groups.
Alternatively you can quest and level as a dps spec and then only heal in group settings. It’s very easy to change your spec from enhance to restoration and the only thing you need to change is your weapon (you want agility for enhance and intellect for restoration).
Ultimately you should play what you enjoy playing. If you don’t enjoy it you won’t stick to it and will stop playing, which is probably not what your dad wants.
Thankyou for your input me and him shall talk this over for my enh is lvl 41 and i dont wanna restart
