Just dinged 70 on Sunday, right now he is in full Honor Gear and averages 24-30 million damage per battleground. It to me right now feels clunky and slow, any tips for a new Warlock would be appreciated. BTW, is my primary job to keep DOTS on all targets at all times?

yes, and press fear when dots are out, if ur playing epics u want to seed like a down bad farmer though

Cycle Seed then ua to keep the shards spend/build cycle going in epics.
You eventually get a feel for when to chuck in MR’s or just more seeds
Don’t use jinx in epics with seed
For reg’s I prefer ps + clone build and jinx. Pretty much arena build, you still pump and can clear groups but also handle solo fights.
Always yell big suck or you’re not a real afflock

if you’re actually going for aoe damage you should never MR over seed
MR is ST/small cleave only
ua doesnt generate shards, vile taint covers all the agony coverage you’d need, if fight goes long then yes manually reapply agonies
Ua returns a shard when someone dies.
If you have a good spread of dots already, all Ua’s out, stun > soulrot > bug suck and are shard rich at that point spending some empowered MA’s is devastating in epics
agony gen’s shards on chance, both help.
Last Ashran I did I cast MR 50 times and got 362 hits. I don’t think I normally cast it that much but its the only data point I have on hand at the moment. details reset on update

Feel like a rookie, but what is Seed of Corruption, cause I don’t see it on my talent bar or on my spellbook?
they’re playing normal aff build so none of the pad aoe talents, you’d have seed if you were spec’d that way
normal aff is just huge focus on multi dotting, good fears and rapture to keep dread touch up or if you have dots up

Thanks, I was a bit worried but I figured that I didn’t talent into it.
I find affliction warlock to be pretty smooth and easy to play (probably the easiest of the specs I do play), but I am using a very simple build and playstyle.
I’m only doing Blitzes, so I don’t use the AOE builds since most of my fights are smaller and less stacked anyway. Using Jinx is enough to spread damage around easily. But, since I rely on Jinx almost all of my shards are spent on that, so I only use MR when it benefits from the 4pc tier set.
So, I just keep dots spread on anyone near me with Jinx and go for single target kills using UA, haunt and drain soul. If I start running out of shards, I just agony whatever I can near me including pets.
It’s not a meta build or playstyle, but it works well for me.

I also use Jinx, makes sense since applying a curse also applies Corruption and Agony, then you just have to hard cast UA. I think your build does make sense, I am using Rip’s build. Figure why not copy the build of the highest rated player in 10’s.

I saw a PVP video where they advised to do UA and then cast Jinx. I think that is slightly faster, apparently. Please correct me if I’m wrong someone.

Kind of makes sense since Jinx takes shards and UA is a hard cast and why not cast UA before they focus you? So yeah thank you for that advice.
BTW, did 10 battlegrounds last night and switched between my three toons, I went 2-8 this has never happened. The other thing I noticed is 9 out of those 10 matches I went up against pre-mades, I know this because I have some of these players on Real ID. Just mentioning this because I think pre-mades are getting out of hand.
