Need help unlocking Nightborne

Hey all,

First: I have never played legion, so I dont know places or NPCs too well outside from just WoWheading

I have unlocked all other allied races. I want to unlock nightborne to finish it out.

I am trying to start the quest, and I have no idea where to even begin. I have looked at WoWhead at a few different guides, and they are telling me to start at quests that dont exist or I cant activate. Can someone tell me how to start this? I understand I have to do the suramar story line, but what quests unlock that storyline? and where do I even begin the quest to start the storyline? I am very lost and this is very confusing.

Thank you for any help!

Have you turned on site trivial quests?

yea ive tried turning on trivial quests. Doesnt unlock anything for me.

I really think that i need to start a questline to unlock the quest i NEED to start for Nightborne, i Just dont know what quest it is :frowning:

IIRC you needed to do the main story of Legion through all its zones before unlocking Suramar, as that’s where you meet the NPC to start it all.

I’d like to think future expansions made it easier to get to there, but…well, my knowledge/assumptions end there.

off…
I mean… I hope not T_T

It starts in Dalaran. Go talk to Archmage Khadgar in The Violet Citadel.

hes not there

I’m no expert, indeed I think I also have not unlocked them. The panda in the orgrimar embassy offers breadcrumbs that directly affect allied races, have a close look at his description of the nightborne and follow form there? I suspect it may be faction related and I’m fairly sure it has to do with the Suramar area…

Hmm, did you start any kind of intro quest in Legion yet? Like the one where you get your Dalaran Hearthstone? Just trying to get an idea of where you’re at exactly.

i can try that. Where do I start that questline nowadays?

Go to the command board in Orgrimmar. It should be called, “The Legion Returns.”

Edit: If that doesn’t work. Talk to Chromie and see if she’ll send you back to Legion.

Have you tried the instructions on this page?

I don’t play Horde, so I can’t personally give you any pointers, but I’ve found that site pretty helpful in many other wow related subjects.

Bumping for help still… I gave up because it was so hard, but I still dont know how to unlock. Im currently trying to do the Good Suramaritran acheivement in hopes on unlocking the Insurrection questline, but looking through wowhead I need revered to get this unlocked fully with an old faction (I think, there is no modern guide)

If blizzard insists on making allied races a grind still, it needs to atleast be guided in a way so people know what to do. I cant find modern resources on this at all, and all I want is the chance to unlock an allied race =/
I’ll do the quest! just need to know how :frowning:

Download btwquests addon. And download the legion plugin with it. Itll tell you exactly where to go for each quest and where to start everything.

You dont need revered for a good sumaritan. The addon im talking about will walk you through that achievement too.

You basically must do all of Legion and the last parts of it cannot be done until you’re exhalted with the Nightborne.

It also will take a ton of mana.

I can’t post links, but there’s a guide on arcaneintellect com called “How to Unlock Nightborne Fast in Dragonflight” that explains things very nicely.

Maybe this is somewhat helpful. It explains things a bit differently than wowhead. I’d also really recommend getting BtWQuests and BtWQuests: Legion or, alternatively, using a different quest or achievement tracker or the one on wowhead.

The attunement tracker on wowhead can also be somewhat helpful.
