I’m one of those weirdos that need the perfect character name so I can fully invest and immerse myself. I have great names for all of my characters which sometimes take me days and even weeks to figure out.
With that being said, I cannot for the life of me come up with a good name for my DH. This name is just a temporary placeholder. I would greatly appreciate a good name that fits in with the lore and theme of this class.
Serious and/or cool names only. Not interested in comedic names or puns.
Thank you in advance.
much appreciated

I’m usually pretty bad with names so a lot of mine come from fantasy novels I’ve read in the past or at least are some variation of them. Letting me feel a bit of connection to the character without having to wrack my brain to be original.
I like my DH’s name a lot (Torc) and it’s one of the few I didn’t steal from a book.
Sorry if this isn’t very helpful but it’s been my process for names in the past.
Fellarion, Nelthiun, Alithius. Something like that.

You would need a thesaurus of a language of your choice but choosing from “curse” “loathe” or “burning” might work for you.
Fred. Fred is a good name.

I am the same way, but I refuse to use special characters like you have now. is that not an issue for you?

Not too far off with Hellsing as there was a Felsong. Maybe marry the two names and use Hellsong or Felsing?

One trick that usually works for me when naming toons is going through the names of characters from other games and changing a letter or two until I get something I like.
Take legendary lords from Warhammer 3 for example. Plenty of great names that can be slightly changed into something that fits your toon. Give that a go?

It’s a major issue. That’s why I said it’s a placeholder
What naming convention do you use for characters? Like do you go strictly for “this is a actually a name” or do you use words, as well?
I’m assuming you’re fine with alt characters in the names based on the current one.
I’m the same way with my characters, name needs to be perfect or I have no interest. I got a few names on Stormrage server from the most recent name purge that I haven’t done anything with, though.
I’m definitely holding onto “Remorse” and “Dreamer”, but if you want to roll the dice on “Damnation” for a DH name I can free it up tonight. Can’t guarantee the name wouldn’t get reported, but I think it would fit the theme of a DH, DK, or warlock.

Well, when I’m not naming my vulpera after food…I like to use D&D fantasy name generators to get inspiration. There are many you can find via a good search, then I look though those generated names for the associated race (elf in this situation) till I find one that I like.
I’m weird with alt letters. I use them if they’re not super intrusive or noticeable. The Ð is fine, or the vowels with a line over such as á are okay too sometimes. Definitely nothing with dots or triangles over them.
Try Mephistopheles, Sabazios, Apollyon or Euronymous
I’m okay with both. My orc warrior on A52 is named Ðeathscream
If someone has to come up with a bame for you, how can attatch yourself to it?

He’d need to whisper someone in-game, assuming their forum character is the toon they log onto regularly.
I usually combine names these days. For example, my hunter’s name is Twileki and this one’s name is Jujubiju, so my DH’s name is Twibiju.
Then I have a Jijubiju. then a Twilocki. My DK’s name is Ikeliwt.
My only non-standard by this rule name I have is Galidora and my rogue (Todash----that’s a Stephen King reference.)
By the way, I completely spaced out that a Twi’lek is a Star Wars thing when I first made my hunter back in BC.
