I am coming back from a rly long break and have been doing decent in SS, ive been having 4-2,3-3 and a few 5-1 games but for some reason the Ls i take makes me not want to q again. For example last night i had a few decent games until 1 game i went 0-6 and i didnt feel like queuing again even tho it was my 1st L of the day. ive had a few games of me going 2-4 on a first game and then not ever queuing until hours later or not even at all in fear of it happening again. Anyone have tips for getting over the Ls or bad days? Ik it sounds silly lol
Just blame the healers and move on
Lol sounds like a plan
I have a better plan for OP.
Start having a more positive attitude towards the Ls. These are the ones that actually give you room to learn. What could have you done better? Target calling? Positioning? CD Trading? Maybe you overlapped CDs? (this happens often and I’m not sure DPS realize it)
Analyzing this will let you reach depths that you haven’t yet, which I think is the ultimate appeal of PVP, to improve in skill and not in gear.
Of course the Ls still take their toll and we get more tired as we play so if you feel you had enough then stop.
So once you have done all of these you’ll see that the room temperature IQ healer cocooned you during time warp and then you can blame the healer, or maybe you’ll notice the scrub went for a HOJ but got polied - you can also blame the healer here.
2200 lobby but your healer is 2100? Healer’s fault as well. They exist solely to get carried by DPS. It’s the pet role of the game.
You’ll be way better educated towards blaming healers. Again, skill, not gear.
Keep on creaming on, creamypants.
This would be the healthy and productive way to deal with it
Sounds good appreciate it
You could record your play, that’s the most extreme way to analyze your failures.
I would suggest first just thinking real hard about the match, thinking what worked and what didn’t and when things started going south for each match. If you’re a caster, focus on abusing pillars and LoS they’re there for you specifically and other ranged and melee will have to chase you down to get to you or what I see happen mostly is they ignore you because it’s too much hassle and you’re left alone to just pop out of cover and freecast to your heart’s content.
Also, if you aren’t yet, you could watch other high rated mages creaming shuffle and try the things they do. When it inevitably doesn’t work out, you can analyze why exactly it worked for them but not you
The games can be kind of like a puzzle. Once you figure out that it’s because they had a better healer then yours and what their healer did better then you can know why you lost.
(healers are simultaneously the pet class but also the diff)
