I’m confused about how to find what I believe is the elite version of the Dread Aspirant and Gladiator plate sets. I’m talking about the look where the helmet can either look like the Stormwind or Lordaeron footman depending on the color variant. It is also the set that the Stormwind Infantry in the valley of heroes are wearing.
That particular set is unobtainable, unfortunately.
Really? So there won’t be any way to get the basic footman look anymore? They really taunt me with having so many NPCs take advantage of this look now. That set was a major reason of why I came back to play BFA
The Dread Aspirant set will return in Shadowlands pre-patch, but the non-elite Gladiator looks are not confirmed to be returning.
The elaborate version of that set you see the soldiers in Stormwind wear were never obtainable unfortunately. Thankfully the previous obtainable sets will become obtainable again at least.
To help clarify this:
That helmet comes in 3 different models. What WoWHead describes as the “Weekly” set, the blue color for that is reserved for NPCs unfortunately. All of the Warfront stuff comes in 3 colors, the Aspirant, Gladiator, and Warfronts colors.
Like Suranel said, the Aspirant armor will be available in SL, which will do great for your Footman appearance goal. In the meantime you can complete the War Campaign quests to get the most basic looking set in its “Warfronts” color variation.
So the Elite Gladiator helmet, the Lordaeron colored one, is the only one that was tied to an earlier season and won’t be obtainable again?
