So, I played maybe 16 hours on a new DK after my last failed Dk run. I was clear – on ALL kill related stats. I would regularly check indv specs to see if I killed anything to see if I biffed my run. satisfied I logged out after reaching around lvl 35. I log back in and it says I HAVE A KILL? I check indv and it says I have a killing blow? mind you ALL KILLSTATS ARE – I do not have 1 single type of creature killed. no elementals, no critters nothing. did logging in SERIOUSLY just kill my run? how tf do I have a “killing blow” and NO creatures, elementals, humanoids etc killed?
Did you check critters? They can be real easy to kill in one shot without realizing it.
i religiously checked it while leveling and critters is --. there are no recorded kills at all. also i have PVP stats. im not on a pvp server and i NEVER entered pvp combat. i dont know how to talk to someone at blizz about it because its such a specific issue that i cant send a ticket for it.
You should send in a ticket anyway, because only they would have the records of kills and player activities. Let them know that you don’t remember killing anything but whatever addon or stats you’re using says that you have a killing blow.
It could be an addon or interface error, but as I said, only Blizzard would know for sure.
do you know by any chance what category i should put it under.? Game play possibly? i have no external addons that I know of. I’m using blizz ingame defaults
Choose In-Game Issues and click Get Help. Put it under Technical Issue. Looks like that’s the only one that fits your issue and lets you contact them.
Why in the name of everything cheesy and macaroni would they give him that information? Why even waste their time with the ticket. And we wonder why real issues take so long to get resolved. Roll a new character, or don’t. Literally no one but you cares about your silly “challenge run”.

TLDR: just adding this little paragraph for the thread
hopefully a Dk expert might aslo tell me. i was running numbers and checking passives i think i might have found the issue. i checked all passives in frost spellbook and none describe an Un-togglable DPS passive. however, i have died quite a lot in my pursuit of passives exp by using herbalism and mining. and at a certain percentage of health there is an ability that activates. sadly i don’t know what it is, what its called or what its tied to or even if its a passive DPS radius. its a shield png with rotating blades. i never activate it, it does so on its own. in my fleeing could it have struck a critter? and if so why then is my critter kill count still zero? really need a min/max DK who knows the ins and outs to tell me.

The only theory I have is the DK ghoul timing out and counting that as a killing blow.
never summoned a ghoul. so that ones ruled out
What rune are you using on your weapon?
What an…odd self imposed challenge. While I agree that yes, your best bet to ask would be to send in a ticket, I also don’t think supports going to do anything and its a waste of supports time, if it really bothers you to have one mystery kill (Which it should label somewhere in your statblock) then just reroll and try the challenge again.
It could be that you flew through some world event where npcs fought and got a small chunk of xp cuz an ally killed an enemy and it counted. I read about that being possible for blown pacifist runs. Sorry 
honestly, im not sure; razor ice? maybe when i try again ill just unequip weapons and remove all abilities from my bars. this might require me to look in depth into the DK mechanics. regardless of the paladin’s useless comment, im having fun with the challenge its quite the razors edge. and if i need to do some in-depth research on DK abilities that will just be another layer to the challenge. however im wondering if this will have to be a 1 -80 challenge w/o loggin out. hopefully not.

Honestly, this was the only ability I could find based on your description.
I’ve never used this rune on my DK though.
You could try installing Details on your DK. If you hit anything, it would show up and let you know.
