Need GM assistance - whitemane prem griefing WSG

Been nearly 40 minutes, nobody on my team is reviving and they just keep picking up and dropping the flag without capping.

Recording the whole match if you need it for proof.

pvp problems have pvp solutions and also /afk solutions
would be better to sit out for 15min than stay in for 40min no?

Are you reporting them for griefing you?

Technically, not reviving for 40 minutes is actionable nonparticipation

Dude your only option is to leave the game. Getting GY camped is part of pvp.

I mean theyre wasting their HPH super super bad so, over all your winning.

Aside from the blatant spelling/punctuation errors, this logic also does not make sense.

The premade is literally wasting all its honor farming time to get no reward to troll 10 random alliance. They are wasting way more time and effort than the 10 randoms in his group.

Perhaps they are having more fun trolling than the honor per hour is worth to them, or perhaps they are doing something else, like taking advantage of the empty field for practicing their jump pathing…

This isn’t the competition. Those who are AFKing and not participating in the BG are cheating those who are there to play out of the experience.

Both in a “play for fun” sort of way, and in a “play for honor” sort of way.

If they wanted to do this, they could do so in a wargame.

Yeah, it’s best to just AFK out and take the hit. You can report but don’t expect anything.

I had this happen once with “somebody else” who was known for it (by “it” I mean roofing with the flag including dropping and picking it up. We were trying to get it back but to them, it was worth hundreds of gold in consumes each game to grief horde premades). He was much later banned after doing it for 16-hours straight. He was unbanned within a week. I’m not allowed to name names but it’s not hard to figure out. We all AFKed out of that game.

It’s weird they are still doing it when you all aren’t rezzing. Did you get into the game when it was like that? Maybe they are targeting someone specifically. If a graveyard is truly camped and you can’t get out I see no problem personally with not rezzing, but others feel differently. The majority of premades don’t care if you rez or not honestly.

I was just thinking that because my group the other day was up against a particularly bad horde group in the 19 bracket and we spent about a half an hour doing just that before we ended it

I disagree. I think that the “luck,” I’ve had with hardly ever facing premades, and almost always having teammates who try is due to reporting those who go against the spirit of the game.

I suspect there are some matchmaking algorithms that take such reports into consideration.

Maybe, it’s debatable if sitting with a flag in WSG and not capping for an extended period of time is griefing or not. I wouldn’t report this personally but if the poster strongly thinks it’s wrong he’s allowed to report it.

I’m not sure if reports change any algorithm or not (my own luck when pugging has been pretty typical with facing pugs often and some premades mixed in - it’s been time and day dependant). IMO just AFKing out is better in the OPs situation, and there nothing wrong with doing so. It only sucks if the poster is horde and also in an AV queue.

As for graveyard rezzing I personally see a difference between rezzing when you can actually keep fighting vs rezzing when you are just getting farmed with no chance. The second one is pretty demoralizing so I personally don’t hold it against people who don’t want to rez in that case.

Well, neither am I. I just suspect that that may be the case, as my experience in BGs is vastly different from what some people on the forums state as their experience.

There are a lot of people who play WoW, and those who are claiming bad experiences on the forums may indeed be outliers…

And yet this is EXACTLY why Blizzard in their momma bear fashion came rushing in to save the Horde in AV.

Alterac Valley

  • Spirit Guides now apply Honorless Target to the players they resurrect.
    • Developers’ note: We observed some behavior in Alterac Valley that can only be described as griefing—a violation of the In-Game Code of Conduct. If this had taken place in original WoW, it would have been seen as either a situation that needed to be fixed preventatively or a circumstance that called for account suspensions. We feel that the preventative solution is the more amicable one. "

And nope. Afking out wasn’t a “solution” to spawn camping because of the poor, innocent Horde victims who were queued up in their spot.

Someone definitely needs to hold Blizzard’s feet to the fire and demand clarification on what is and isn’t okay in BG’s. Their lack of communication and arbitrary BS is nothing short of disgusting.

sigh okay then.

Intentionally delaying the game to force deserter onto people while rez camping for extended periods is greifing. There have already been actions on this kind of thing. Also the flag dropping can be reported as chat spam.

Did your team do something slimy like 10 man turtle from the start to deserve it? Or was the other team just being a bunch of 12 year olds?
