Hey Everyone,
im trying to figure out why my damage is so low…im capping at about 70k and ending at 40-50 k. im IL 466, my trinkits are imo garbage…so im working on that. but other wise i just feel like i should be doing more damage.
ive read a lot of different stuff out there as far as what stats to stack. Some say Haste, some say crit/vers. im just not sure, and im starting to feel like its affecting my dps. im not sure what corruptions i should be getting either. currently running 50 twighlight, and a 20 falling stars. you should be able to look at my toon and see my stats, if not let me know and i can put them in here. thankyou all!
Ok, so a few things:
Don’t use 2 Eyes of Rage on your Azerite, you use it for the CDR, which doesn’t stack, the bonus damage is probably not worth it, can’t say for sure though because I can’t tell which other traits you could equip in these slots.
Always make sure you are fully enchanted and have all your pieces socketed. For stats, Vers is the best stat by far. Crit is slightly behind in terms of DPS while not providing defensives.
Your essences seem really random, Iris is an AoE focused one but none of your minors really support that. If you are going for an AoE setup you should keep Iris and BotD, and replace the others with Purification Protocol and C&S if you have them.
I don’t know what other corruptions you have access to, but IS only really works in long single target fights. I recommend you check out Dratnos’ video on BiS corruptions for melee specs on Youtube to get a better idea of what you should be going for.
A couple of items. Your ring enchants and gems should be vers. Your chest piece switch off of heart of darkness back to chaotic transformation. Sim the shoulder piece traits to see if EoR dmg out does 1 of seething power, my guess is seething power would pull ahead slightly. Switch your quick nav to vers. Get your cloak to rank 12 for the stat proc buff.
Mainly though overall I’d sim your stuff and let raidbots decide your chants/gems and you have too much haste and too little vers, given you have 3 stacks of Furious Gaze.
Overall dmg in m+? For your ilvl thats ok, not that low. My shammy is 468 ilvl and doing 55k overall on average, 60k in some dungeons
For easy mode you want
3x furious gaze
1x chaotic transformation
1x eyes of rage
1x whatever
Vers > Crit/haste > mastery
For single target you want condensed life force major essence and as many infinite stars as you can get.
For aoe target essence you want meme beam essence plus twilight devastation and/or unguent caress weapons.
A good aoe trinket is torment in a jar
Good single target is dead eye spyglass and vita charged titanshard
If you can get a friendly plate user to pass you merektha’s fang, you’ll love the aoe damage it provides

im seeing a lot of haste DH out there. even running the Haste % corruptions.
