I am done with it. You want people to stay in the game? Stop with all the RNG nonsense.
I literally went an entire patch cycle not getting a weapon from the vault for a season.
You got rid of tokens.
You got rid of vendors
You got rid of reforging
You got rid of titan forging
Wrath and other expansions gave you a reason to raid and run content and potentially get loot.
I understand they playing with ideas this last season but they not going to keep it.
People are tired of their time being wasted. Final fantasy has a MUCH better loot acquisition from what ive been told.
You cant cut the loot to next to nothing and then give us no deterministic ways to get loot. And that loot even if you do get it , there may be awful stats on it as well .
" Let loot be loot" Well let the gdamn loot drop.

RNG loot ads excitement to the game.
Grinding X to buy Y is boring gameplay. I’d much rather RNG loot.

There is deterministic loot this season though? I literally just upgraded my BiS trinket to heroic level, bought a BiS weapon for off-spec, and bought a BiS one-hander to upgrade after raiding.
This patch actually has a very good balance of RNG and deterministic gearing with dinars/upgrades/creation catalyst. I would be very happy to see Dragonflight launch in this state of gearing (maybe capped valor for a little while) but other than that very good.
Well you’re in luck, you can literally buy a raid weapon and upgrade it this season.
No more then this expansion.

Titanforging sucked and the people who want it back are insane.
Some RNG is fine but entirely RNG is a massive waste of time.

To my knowledge they are not keeping this patch cycles gearing process and it also once again only favored raiders and not those of us who just do mythic plus.
No mention of that gearing path continuing and it ONLY helps raiders.

Doesn’t have to be full blown titanforging. Warforging was fine. Although there was certainly more excitement over something forging most of the time

You can choose which dungeon to run and endlessly run it on an easy difficulty to target a piece. Thats what I did for both of my rings.
Also, Im pretty sure Ion said they are looking to bring the dinar systek forward too.
Also, yes, you have to do raids to get raid gear and dungeons to get dungeon gear and PvP to get PvP gear. That is how the game works
Purely a matter of personal preference. People who liked and disliked it had good reasons for feeling how they did. Claiming that everyone who disagrees with you is mentally ill makes you look like the one who is unstable.

I feel ya i ran 50 junkyards just to get a weapon. Its a bad system. They should have vendors end each run if you dont get loot you get a token of that dungeon. If you do get loot you wont get a token so once you get 10 tokens you can buy something you wanting.

I dunno if I’d say Titanforging sucked, but it sure was weird getting a mythic raid quality ring for turning a world quest into a turtle NPC.
I don’t mind the personal loot system itself, but I do think the RNG has gotten a bit out of hand. When you run 20 dungeons and either get nothing or an item you don’t need, it feels bad.
I do miss the valor system they had to buy gear with on a weekly cap. That was good, reforging was also good.
Determined gear was a good reason to raid, we don’t have that now. Nor do we have reasons to be in guilds really.
A lot of things as of late boil down to just lack of incentive. The harder content just isn’t rewarding enough, and M+ has really screwed up the organic model of how the game was when it was doing it’s best.

I dont get the argument that m+ messed up the model. Only 20% acheved +15s or higher in season 3 thats a fairly low number. Of that i bet 80% are mythic raiders and 20% heroic raiders

When I say messed up the model, I don’t mean that there’s anything inherently wrong with it as a system in itself. However, I am old school and I’m used to the quest, dungeon, raid progression system and not the run a five-man in a certain amount of time and get better loot than a raid offers. I suppose I’m just kind of stuck in my ways as far as that goes, but I prefer that model better.
Yeah but its a challenge in itself. And m+ items are lower item level than raid. mythic is 304 heroic is 292 m+ is 288 at its highest. There is valor upgrade and one thing i will blately agree with is valor shouldnt be uncapped, but season 4 might last 4 months max so i can see why they didnt cap it compared to season3.
Other thing id be fine with is Raid loot scales down to 288 max when entering a dungeon instance then raiders dont have an unfair advantage over people that think raiding is bad content and dont want to step foot into it.
