The intent behind the players’ actions isn’t a factor. The Auction House has always been a free market, where accidental expensive purchases, have always been possible. That really hasn’t changed over the years, only the design and UI for the Auction House.
Would we like to see everyone operate with the best interest of other people in mind? Absolutely, that would make the world a much better place to live in. Unfortunately, that level of micromanagement of player behavior is a bit beyond our scope.
