Posting for my DK:
Need advice as DK in TSG vs Jungle
I play frost DK with Kyrian Warr/Resto Sham around 2.4 and we get slammed by jungle. I’ve tried baiting dome with just blind chillstreak, going on the druid, trying to go down the hunter or kill his pets, and even just all in the healer. I feel like we are always ona ticking clock with all the freezing traps and I just don’t know what to do to stay alive or win that matchup. I’ve even tried wraithwalking over to try to intercept the trap but it just feels like we are delaying the inevitable. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Ludus labs says Jungle has like a 66% win rate vs TSG but what are the 33% that win doing differently. I am not great and if it is just a skill thing I’ll roll over and accept my fate but if there is some talent/rune forge/legendary/soulbind thing that anyone is doing different, would y’all mind sharing? If any jungle players want to tell me the secret to surviving I’d be grateful as well.
Thanks.
Man that’s a really complicated thing to answer here. I don’t have the mental energy for it. Dillon where are you?..
i qued the unholy necro war version to 26 and we actually ran at the disc priest every game vs jungle, and we beat most of the jungles we fought just by the w key at disc priests, idk too much ab the frost version into that tho

probably not a lot you can do as dk outside of gripping priest so he can’t fear off trap and chaining everything
is your warrior playing reflect leggo? might be worth dropping 8 second spear for reflect if you’re having issues surviving
Pull priest away from pillar and make him reroll rdru
Banner on the stuns and woogabooga
Frost version even better cuz blind chillstreak the pets and remorseless winter will stop their go and 3rd Dr stun priest for the death
I mean at first i ran double reflect but then we all came together as a unit, and decided on big dam. So we just played max dam talents/gear and oogabooga disc priests

yeah that’s the attitude i’ve adopted towards jungle now
nothing more frustrating than actually getting reflects and/or value warbanners only to still lose the game
now i just run full damage/uptime
ya u just gotta tell ur teammates OOK OOK and then they know the plan insta

You should train the hunter
We’ve tried chasing the priest down but it’s only successful occasionally. We run into trouble when my dk is unable to get to the priest bc of hunter and Druid keeping him slowed/stunned. Even if we get to priest it’s a race to win because after a few goes we run out of defensives and my dk dies in a full trap.
I was thinking about splitting with warrior on priest and dk stacked with the shaman on the feral to keep him bear then both burst priest when get gets within grabby hands range.
idk we never had issue with uptime on disc priests, id just keep trying that tbh
Need to not get baited to chasing around a pillar. Hit what you can unt you can ya k priest out
This is what pisses me off about jungle. You can literally play super well and reflect/banner/dispel/reverse traps and still just lose because the damage is pretty much unhealable
Literally rerolling hunter to play jungle after we get our remaining glad wins
just out dam thr unhealable dam with ur own unhealable dam tbh

So I guess Id say afew things,
Defensively, id highly consider using your warriors fear purely as a defensive CD to stop a go when they have a trap landed on your healer/big Cds. I would also highly recommend using LoS to your advantage when applicable to not take every point of damage possible.
You can also consider using things like reflect legendary (traps/Mindgames/cyclones) very versatile leggo in that matchup, grounding and or tremor toteming and or fleshcrafting traps/fears. Grip+chains enemy healer when he is running at your healer for fears. Just be very disruptive on their goes, if you can drag this game you you’ll probably win on sustained damage.
Offensively, yea that can be a bit of a tough matchup with hunter 15sec FD leggo, but I think hunter is still the kill target. The goal is to basically just make his life hard, your healer stunned? ok well he wants to trap off of that sooo stunning the hunter would be good then and maybe popin some dmg. I would also be looking for timley kicks on clones both offensively and defensively.
So a few things you could consider, try to get dual use out of your offensive cds, like when your healer gets trapped try to blind let it sit a little then double stun+do your go on them. Leaper legendary is also pretty solid for a kyrian warrior in this matchup as it allows you to be able to stay more offensive/defensively. Between a warrior and DK should have a good amt of uptime on a hunter.

To beat jungle you need a rdruid in your team with a half brain and then run all on healer.
But even then if their Feral is not smoking the game can get long, its the best comp ingame.
Traps are always going to be a major issue vs jungle. But if you feel like your on a timer due to traps, you could tell your sham to utilize fleshcraft and grounding as much as possible to avoid traps or any preliminary cc prior to the trap. Jungle is probably one of the toughest comps to beat right now due to its excessive dmg, good control, and high survivability for short periods of time. TSG w/ rsham has a good amount of CC mitigation/avoidance for traps, however its all about how well timed they are. Normally it just comes down to how fast you can oom their disc or cleave down the disc to ensure your win, as ferals/hunters can be highly elusive if they’re somewhat decent.
Yea I mean just pve the priest. Especially if you are using shaman healer. Maybe be prepared to interupt hard cast clones. Tell your healer to keep up with you in melee range so you can stand on top of each other during trap. If your war is free of gcd, and they use an instant CC to setup for trap, immediately stormbolt the hunter. Maybe tab target pets if you can’t hit anything at the moment and you might get a quick pet kill.
Map dependent if you want a win but you shouldn’t really ever win
As frost dk comps though your main go should pretty much always to be doing your set ups when the enemy team wants to do theirs. For example, when they want to go for an intim trap, that’s your best time to grip hunter in for blind (while you’ve been hitting hunter or feral), then you can try and do your chillstreak set up windows with spears and a stun on hunter out of the blind.
In reality they probably will just out PvE you, ferals/BM hunters are just really insane rn and it’ll be hard to win but like I said, main goal should be to do a counter go on their go because if you don’t it’s just super easy for you to get ran over. Doing this consistently enough can potentially make you win the mana game, which is realistically your best option here
