Any suggestion’s on what my new computer I should buy for the next expansion that’s coming out. what I have is fine but I feel it’s time to get a new one and pass this down to a family member to use. Any good advice would be welcome.
Thank you all

You will be far better off going to some place like PCMasterRaceBuilds or PCMasterRace on reddit than asking around here.
Getting a new PC is always exciting! However, we might need to know what exactly you’re going to use it for to provide feedback.
Are you going to use it for just WoW, or other things as well? Also, do you plan to stream? How much are you looking to spend?
Ryzen 7 is cheap and preforms really well.

on Reddit is a good place to start . You just fill out a form and people suggest what to pick.
Try this:

You pick the parts, they put it together & it’s done. The other way is to build it yourself.
What I’ve found is when I buy a prebuilt, they put in stuff that I’m going to have to replace eventually so I don’t get as much life out of it as I would otherwise.
(Like the power supply and/or the graphics card, they seem to always save money for themselves on those 2)

Ryzen in general is amazing. My friend is running a Ryzen 3 1300X and it’s playing the game great! We haven’t entered LFR or anything yet though. I’m sure that will be interesting!
Wait for the new AMD CPU’s if you want the best futureproof upgrade, they have also overtaken Intel in gaming performance now as well in the new upcoming ones being released very soon here. Check out video’s on youtube about them if you need more info.
I’m going to look at that ryzen 7, thank you. it has been on my mind for a few weeks .
thank you for the info
i have the asus g14 with the new ryzen 9. its amazing. i did a ton of research before buying and everything i found says the ryzen is years ahead of intel
let me check into that, thank you
WAIT for the New Ryzen 9 5000 series. I wish I had waited, but I didn’t. Shadowlands is far away, you have time to wait. You won’t regret it.
Gonna get the same answer on here, 3600 or 3600x, or wait for the 4th gen ryzen processors to get benchmarked more and make a choice between the 4th gen equiv of those.
You dont need a 400 dollar processor for WoW though, don’t let these silly people fool you.
Core i9 Extreme or go home.
mmm I see no one mentioning this… but depending how old your CPU is, you may also need a new MB. Check all those little details before purchasing a newer CPU that may not be compatible.
Best of luck, building PC time is one of the most exciting times!
thank you for the help
This, I’m running a fx-6300 with a rx570 and it handles wow and most of my other games fairly well. So you don’t need a super top end CPU or GPU for wow.
Personally I am still rocking my 8700k and it’s a champ, even beating the 3900x, so I’m happy. I run WoW on full blast with a mild overclock on my 2070 GPU and a 5% OC on the processor.
thank you keep in mind
