Necrotic question

Hey all since necrotic was changed to physical damage, the way to clear stacks with BoP is to have it immediately removed when it’s applied right? Or does spellwardng still work?

Spellwarding does nothing to necrotic now.

BoP now works the same way as Bubble (as far as necrotic is concerned) - cast on yourself and it will clear your stacks, but you need a /cancelaura macro handy unless you hate the DPS in your group.

(And of course that also means that BoP from a Ret / Holy pally works nicely too, as long as the tank has a /cancelaura ready)

Ok ok that’s what I thought thanks for the response!

Do you happen to know how to macro that cancel aura? Cause I don’t lol I tried to copy and paste what was on icyveins and I cant get it to work, it’s 98% user error for sure

/cancelaura Blessing of Protection
/cancelaura Divine Shield

So do I just make a macro for /cancelaura Blessing of Protection and then click my BoP then click the cancel macro and it’ll just cancel it out?

I thought there was a way to make a macro that activated it and then cleared it all in one?

Could be wrong, I’m new to macroing

That all depends on how you want to handle it.

I run the macros as follows.

These will auto cast the abilities on yourself with one click, then with a following click (so you can spam click to remove it immediately) remove the buff.
{
#showtooltip
/cast [@player] Blessing of Protection
/cancelaura Blessing of Protection
}

{
#showtooltip
/cast Divine Shield
/cancelaura Divine Shield
}

You could also potentially create a simple cancel aura macro
{
/cancelaura Blessing of Protection
/cancelaura Divine Shield
}

So you can click that after you have activated the other abilities (useful in situations where someone else might cast blessing of protection on you)

Awesome I’ll have to try these out in game when I get time, thank you!

I’d recommend dropping a consecrate, horsing up, and getting out of melee range before you bop/cancel it on yourself. If stuff tries to punch you the second it’s up you’ll drop aggro. If you’re not in melee range it seems like this doesn’t happen.

I like to have “oh shirt” buttons lol so I already have final stand traited having 2 would be tops

I use ones like this
/cancelaura Blessing of Protection
/cast Blessing of Protection
/cast Hand of Reckoning

click a second time to cancel it.
