This item is dropped from the summoned boss in Scholomance. As a shadow priest, that ring is insane to me and beyond BIS and nothing really comes close that’s not a drop from MC. Shamans and Paladins have quests to kill this boss so usually you would just tag in and get the kill and hope for the drop. However…
This boss for alliance is part of the paladin epic mount, which almost every paladin will be doing so this boss is being killed very often.
On horde, the quest is just some random helmet that literally no shaman wants and nobody will bother with it because it costs some expensive mats for no benefit.
Not only that, but the boss summon is a very long boring RP that takes like 10 minutes that no group will want to do from their kindness of their heart.
so as it stands,
I’m a shadow priest on horde side, my BIS ring is locked behind a boss that nobody wants to do and there’s nothing I can do about it beside beg every shaman I see to go get the quests and beg the groups I’m in to sit through painful RP that’s somehow worse than Rend RP ALL FOR A CHANCE to even see the ring drop. And I just wanna say, It feels really bad, like very VERY bad.
I have no issue farming the boss over and over if I have to, but I’m purely at the mercy and kindness of other strangers to even see this item on horde side.
All I’m asking is to give shamans a reason to actually do that boss. Buff the helmet they get from it so they actually wanna do it. Give them a rune that drops there. ANYTHING for them to actually wanna do that boss and for us to see the kill more often.
Warrior pre-bis weapons are Ironfoe and Felstriker…sometimes you just got to get that 2nd BiS and call it a day. Juice is not always worth the squeeze.
Which is something I cannot imagine ever farming for ngl. But yeah, It just feels bad that it’s only an issue for horde you know? Cause on alliance, people could get the item easily. So it’s not even about the item drop itself, it just sorta feels unfair that I can’t get my bis because of my faction if that makes sense?
Only thing I could recommend is find a guild that will help you. I know in my guild I could rally up a few guys to get some random thing I need. With PUGs people only care about their own stuff now-a-days.

Yeah but they don’t. Once their epic quest is done paladins never pickup the item to respawn the boss. Plus it’s once a day per paladin.
Luckily guildies have been helpful here but imo this boss should just auto spawn after rattlegore ? Dies.
They made rares available at all time so I don’t see why not. At least on alliance side you’ll the boss sometimes. On horde it’s simply just never gonna be done unless it’s genuinely your friends/guildies doing it for you.
