I have my own biases on the one I want. But with all the bad publicity I figure it’s very likely we will be getting one of these two very highly requested classes next expansion in an attempt to lure people back. Which would you prefer or feel is the most likely one for them to use?
I would prefer Tinkerer.
Only class I can think of that could be added as a mail wearer with the addition of being ranged dps or heals (robot heals). Plus you could include another class for obvious Gnomes & Goblins or via arcane; Nighborne or Draenei / LF draenei. Even Blood Elves or Void Elves could fit with their arcane golems.
Alliance Tinkerer is actually in the game. It’s not available to the players yet.
You can see them from horde perspective in Island Expeditions
Thank you for sharing! Now i’ll say my own bias which I didn’t share before so the thread wouldn’t just turn into a necromancer request thread. My own desire is the necromancer, I don’t have any fancy arguments. It’s just a cloth wearing class I would really like to play. I love minion classes.
Neither. Bards
All seriousness though, no way 10.0 doesn’t bring another class. The suits are gonna push just to juice numbers and for good publicity at this point.
I do enjoy the summoner class, sometimes I feel like demonology could fit that billet, alas Blizzard still doesn’t understand.
I think if there’s a glyph for every shadow priest ability, it could be necromancer
I just want a stealth based ranged class. Like a rogue hunter mix but with no pets.
Horde Tinkerers are also in the game. You can see them from the alliance perspective in Island Expeditions
Possibly but I think affliction honestly fits the Necromancer a little better if they was able to summon more minions. My own personal vision of a Necromancer is something between a unholy death knight, and an affliction warlock. Using powerful death magic to rot the enemy away while summoning and controlling an army of undead to do their bidding. Naturally they could use a glyph for demonology and just call it good but it wouldn’t quite hit the fantasy 100%
Not actually interested in either of these classes.
Tinkerer/Artificer
Or maybe like another shape-shifting class only like it’s appendages and extra growths instead of changing forms.
Like a Voidshifter. Similar to how Garrosh was in Siege of Orgrimmar toward the end of the fight. You get like sha claws, void tentacles, a massive maw, sha energies that flow over your body and grow spikes… I dunno, sounds fun. Could be a mail wearing class. It seems unique to the game, we don’t have anything like that currently. Except for demon hunters demon spikes.
Mm between the two maybe tinkerer (if they give it a better name than “tinkerer”). It’s at least pretty unique. Necromancer might be more probable in the story though, say we take the teachings from SL back with us afterwards. But it would have to be a new concept of a necromancer based on anima magic. Something more benevolent. Not the spooky curse and zombie type we’re used to. Warlocks and dks more than cover that field.
But honestly I’d like to see different class ideas. It’s just all anyone ever focuses on is tinkerer and necromancer and it’s kinda boring. Surely there’s other classes! Maybe blood mages, or a melee arcane or void class. We need more options on the table.
But it really depends what the next expansion is actually going to be about.
Lol. I only played horde in island expeditions so I wasn’t sure
I think tinkerer would be a more appealing class. DK is already pretty much a necromancer class.
understandable. But my time spent on the forums these 2 had been the most requested. Although I did forget that bard is fairly frequent as well but I don’t believe there has been a bard class in the series.
Yeah I much prefer Artificer over Tinkerer. Millicent Manastorm is labeled an Artificer. I think it would fit the class better and instead of it being solely focused on engineering it’s actually a fusion of tech and magic. We see this a lot with Draenei, Legion, Blood Elf, Nightborne, Dwarven technology.
Honestly during TBC, and Vanilla Blood Mages was just as highly requested as tinkerer and necromancer. However that interest kind of died out and rarely requested now days. I think the original interest stimmed from a quest line in the blasted lands.
I would prefer additional specs for each class… chronomage, ranger, cleric, gladiator or barbarian, etc…
