I really wish you guys would do a pure necromancer hero class for Shadowlands not only is this the perfect opportunity but even one of the Convents is called Necrolords.I really think this is a missed opportunity to bring in that class i think it would be the perfect expansion to introduce it it’s not like im getting my Tuskarr hunter anytime soon it seems.I also really hope you guys make the Convents into allied races (which is prolly your plan anyways at least i hope it is) it would make alot of the player base happy.I promise you’ll even make money from people switching their chars to Venthyr lol.

First, Hero classes are getting removed, both DH and DK will start at lv 1 in SL
Second, DKs and Warlocks already cover the necromancer theme

Three Three easy steps to be a necromancer.
1 Roll a DK
2 Wear all cloth
3 Download the appropriate rp addon,and rp as a necromancer

DK has the wrong state allocation intelligence would be needed for a necromancer not strength.

Because of rolling the DK Cloth would make you lose out on the stat bonus’s for wearing all the proper item type.

I think if one of the leaks is true they may consider releasing a class or class skin in one of the mid patchesof the expansion. Necromancer would be a great class skin to have for warlocks. Bssically a green fire sort of thing for your whole class or maybe just a spec like green fire is just for destruction.

unholy DK’s are as much necromancers as paladins are priests. There’s overlap but no strong reason why they can’t co exist.
-Necromancer spec ideas-
• Corpse mastery: focuses on conjuring very temporary undead units to either provide buffs (think similar to totems) or just suicide bomb the target.
• Blood: Healing spec, uses HP for certain spells. (Vlad invulnerability blood pool LoL)
• Lich: Probably just steal some spells from Hots Kelthuzad. Bring back lock meta but give it to necros

Warlocks don’t have necromancy covered —we’re certainly about souls – but manipulating dead isn’t what we’re at all about.

It’s more of a factual statement. Being a necromancer is more then just the necromancy. Death Knights are more the Death version of the Paladin where the Necromancer is the Death version of the Priest. If you look into the Warcraft history of necromancers you will see that Necromancers are sorcerers. Although they are all aligned with the scourge or the cult of the damned I do not see how they could not switch sides like the Knights of the Ebonblade did.

Do you really need to worry about someone using something against you if you don’t have anything that can be used against you? I mean just behave normal and that won’t be a problem.

Valid point, but they like to add classes that are well themed to the Expansion. What mail wearing class is themed well with death? That wouldn’t be horde specific.
That’s awfully naive of you if you think people won’t spend a great deal of time trying to find what little scraps they can to attack you rather than your argument.
Dark Rangers aren’t Horde Specific anymore, they even have precedent for human in their ranks even if it is only one human.
