Neck hit 50 rewards now useless

Hey blizz

I don’t really play a lot with alts and have mained this rogue since legion. As such I have completed the neck grind without much fuss but now I have a new problem.

Many rewards like warfront contributions and dailies reward me nothing now since AP is all over them. I have been trying to shift as much as possible over to quests for rep of things to sell but the faction daily if it’s AP is worthless. Please at least un-cap the neck so all this incidental AP we get is not wasted.

Or you can just take solace in the fact that you’ve finished progressing that character, and stop doing unrewarding content. Nothing wrong with being able to finish the treadmill temporarily.

Unfortunately we don’t always get a choice If we avoid AP we get locked out of content since there is so much incidental AP rewards. Back in legion we had the ability to sell AP tokens if we had enough…

Seals give a big chunk of AP if you don’t get gear, I’d be upset if that happened to me and I was capped. They should have a plan for correcting this.

This is a major problem, AP is awarded everywhere in BFA, once capped, not much content you can do without AP. We should be compensated with something useful or allow a way to store these extra AP until 8.2.

(was just a test, please ignore this post)

If you actually enjoyed that content for the act of doing it, like playing basketball with friends or something, then the reward being irrelevant to you wouldn’t matter. Because you’d be having fun regardless.

Hardly that kid.

I have hit 50 because I stuck with one char. I have rarely completed the weekly island quota and don’t do much more than the four daily WQ, I hardly bother with incursions and might do 2-3 mythic plus a week 50 ain’t hard to hit at all.

Think about where we are in APRIL and 8.2 drops when ? JULY? How many more will hit 50 before JULY.

Consider how many daily faction missions for 4 WQ reward AP how often does this come up there have been 3 for the horde in the last week. Once you hit 50 you get ZERO reward.

How many quests will you have to avoid because they reward AP?
How many do you already avoid because they are terrible rewards?
Turn ins for DS or Arathi whats the reward? oh yeah AP .
2500 AP in faction caches or whatever after you hit exalted, wasted.
Island expeditions DEAD content now.
PVP daily missions Honor and AP.

Soon many other players will hit 50 and they will have 2 months of this problem.

I already posted a thread on this about bonus seals. It sucks to get nothing from ap emissaries, wqs, islands etc. but you can not do those if you choose. The real crappy thing is paying quite a bit in either gold or resources for seals and then getting 750 useless ap when you don’t roll 3 cherries.

Same problem here. I’m surprised more people aren’t in the same boat. I have an alt that dinged 120 in late Feb. and is already 49. I absolutely do not grind AP on that alt whatsoever either. I do my daily emissary, 4 weekly islands (mainly for treasure map), 1 m+ per week, and some casual PVP stuff.

Would love to see some gold or some form of reimbursement for wasted AP on rolls and other content. Especially since 8.2 isn’t going live in the next week or 2.

I don’t share the view as the OP, but maybe they should put in an alternate reward for players capped on AP. Trouble is, I can’t think of a useful substitute this expansion. Mats are largely worthless because of the scrapper (maybe different for herbs but I just got back from a break, so I’m not sure), gold I would feel iffy on if only because gold is pretty easy to get these days.

Honestly I’d take resources. Hard to get? Not at all. But most definitely useful for sending to alts via the purchasable Honorbound cache.

That’s a good point. I’m all for being able to help my alts on my main.

I got to Lvl 50 on the neck and went into break mode.

I log on, see if there are rep/gold rewards, and if not, I log off and go play other games and forget about everything in WoW.

I earned this break dammit!

Solves the problem for some, but not for all. I could send some of my 21k resources from this char to my DK “alt” but the DK has 26k resources so not sure how this would be helpful.

Luckily I stopped truly playing the DK a while ago so the neck is still only 47 there. But even only logging on every 3 days for emissaries, I’ll hit 50 before 8.2 releases on that character as well.

the OP’s attitude is what led to many of the systems we hate today: titanforging, little rep gain outside emissary, RNG on almost everything, and additional things, all put in place to slow you down and make the journey longer.

Worse, the people complaining, like the OP, have typically done nothing other than world quests - no raiding, no pvp, no desire to collect or do achievements.

Then they demand the grind be made WORSE, cause they feel they finished too soon and arent smart enough to figure what they should do next. They’re the kind of people that need a laugh track to know when to laugh.

Reality is game systems have never kept people in the game; it was guilds and the associated friendships made that kept people in the game. You would basically log in to just do whatever with your friends.

Now people dont socialize, do just the solo or quasi-solo content, and are surprised there isnt more to do, despite the fact they avoid group content and avoid being social.

I feel like the wasted AP right now could of been turn to gold or something.

Lol people complain in legion the grind was endless. Bfa adds a cap, now they complain its capped. Good riddance.

They’re trying to condition people to play content they are not interested in even though there are no rewards from doing so.

How’s that working out, devs?

In legion there were always quest rewards. AP tokens got a gold value, so they were still worth doing. It was nothing like this.

If you’re saying everybody should quit who is unhappy that these world quests no longer give rewards, you sound like a dev.
