It’s about time for druids to become mortal like the rest of the classes in WoW. The blatant favoritism shown to druids is just disgusting.
Changing to any other form requires a cast time of 1 sec.
Druids will be dismounted from flight form just like every other class on a mount, and druids will no longer be able to complete quests or herb without dismounting.
Prowl is only available for Feral spec.
Changing forms will no longer break movement restrictions against the druid.
Druids in any form will no longer be immune to polymorph or hex.
Druids will no longer be able to cast moonfire and sunfire while turned around from the target. This will apply to similar spells of other classes.
Delete Ysera’s Gift.
Delete Affinity talent row.
All of these changes are not only logical, but completely consistent with the abilities of all other classes in WoW. When I look at these spells, all I’m thinking is WHY? Why do druids have such unusual unique abilities that have nothing to do with druid class fantasy? None of these skills make any sense. There’s no reason whatsoever, other than gross devs’ favoritism, for druids to have such OP abilities that other classes don’t have.
For example, let’s look at prowl. What classes have a comparable skill?
Hunters have camouflage. Now it makes total class fantasy sense for a hunter to be able to stalk prey while remaining hidden. Here’s the catch though. Camouflage is not even a base skill and is a talent, then it only lasts for 1 min and additionally has a 1 min cooldown! A skill that makes perfect sense for hunter has all these restrictions, yet a skill that makes no sense for druids has no limitations whatsoever, is baseline and has unlimited duration. If anything, it should be the hunter who has baseline camouflage and unlimited duration, not the druid.
Rogues also have stealth. But they’re ROGUES! That’s what rogues do, they hide and perform sneak attacks, so this skill make perfect class fantasy sense. Druid stealth just makes no sense, other than maybe for a feral.
A class that should have stealth or invisibility, yet doesn’t, is MAGE! It’s perfect class fantasy that mages are supposed to be able to go invisible, yet the only invisible skill we have is when we’re about to be killed and lasts for a few seconds. Again, mage is a class that should have some sort of skill to go invisible and move around, yet it doesn’t, yet for some bizarre reason druids do.
man i’m sure glad you aren’t a game developer for this game (and I can say with confidence you probably will never be one)…i would be miserable lol…
i don’t think you’ve played wow very long…because those changes are all what would break the fantasy of playing a druid in the warcraft universe…stick to your mage things <3
