Making a post here as instructed in my support ticket.
I bonus rolled the same item Maledict Vest twice.
I took Maledict Vest myth track from my vault (I am unsure if this should remove it from the reroll pool but given the wording I suspect not but putting it in in case it it relevant)
I then ran a +12 Nexus Point and hit my reroll button (3 useful items - boots, gloves, Occlusion of Void (as I already have the OoL on myth track) - I looted the Maledict Vest on Myth track. I was a little disappointed as I had just picked it from vault but I suspected having it from vault wouldn’t remove it from the pool anyway.
So I sucked my lemons and wrote that off thinking “at least it’s out of the pool now”
I ran a second +12 Nexus Point; thinking great at least I now have a shot at the actually useful items that I’m after. Complete the run and hit my bonus roll - low and behold a second copy of the same item - Maledict Vest.
At least with the 1st one I was able to make use of it - catalysing it for my offspec set - but now I have a totally useless vendor fodder item and the system is clearly not functioning as it’s supposed to.
So I went to open a ticket. 1st off the customer support tab would not load in-game despite me waiting nearly 20 minutes - it just sat there with a swirl and never loaded in (but the shop window loaded instantly… priorities I guess)
No matter I’ll go to the web ticket option and open my ticket there with screenshots showing the duplicate loot.
6 hours later (which is credit I suppose considering the in-game wait showed 1 day 23 hours) I get a copy pasted response that told me (and I am paraphrasing) “We have had several other reports of this, our devs are working on it, please make a bug report on the forums”
So here I am making the post… the cynic in me does not expect it will make any difference at all.

Duplicate item received: Maledict Vest (coincidentally the same item I had received from great vault just before the dungeon runs)

Same here, I opened another topic yesterday when it happened. I had opened a ticket too, and this is the reply I got. Not sure if it was possible, but I’m even more upset. All I get is a copy-pasted answer. And we’ll probably have to accept we’ve been screwed and will have our progression hindered, and we won’t ever get a decent reply from Blizzard about the issue.
Open a bug report, but we won’t even care to reply to it.
Really about to stop playing the game over this.

If you are missing loot, try to log out, log back in, and then check your in-game mailbox, as the Postmaster system will send loot to your mailbox from the following activities:
However, the Postmaster will not send:
WoW Classic and Cataclysm Classic
Unlooted items in WoW Classic are not sent to your mailbox. Items that aren’t looted will remain on the corpse until it despawns. Resetting an instance will cause corpses to despawn, and all unlooted items will be lost.
Customer Support does not assist with reclaiming loot that was left behind for any reason. If you believe you have experienced a bug with looting, please report it as a bug:

Just reporting here that ran into the same bug in the Nexus Point Xenas dungeon on Mythic+. Same item and lower iLevel as well.
At this point folks, I wouldn’t use your Voidcores until this is resolved. I know Customer Support cannot refund them at this time, But hopefully the developers see this and approve refunds on this particular currency as not working as intended.

But still leaves me with similar feelings to be honest. I don’t mythic raid (don’t have the time anymore with a new kiddo) so vault is really my only source of loot now. I was really excited to have a shot at getting a couple more pieces a week. I could totally accept getting 1 dupe piece if only ROLLED items counted to the bad luck protection - that just is what it is. But to get a 2nd identical piece completely counter to how the system is supposed to work just leaves a sour taste in my mouth and essentially feeling like once I’ve done my keys for vault for the week I might as well just not log back in till reset.
Yeah, that’s for sure Thejjt. I ran NPX 40 times to get a ring. And that’s ok, cos I knew what I was getting into. The rules are clear and I knew there were no guarantees I’d get the item. So I kept doing it cos I wanted to. Or a crappy vault, it happened to all of us. (With me, this week as well, on top of losing my roll). We get frustrated. We get angry, but we know it is what it is. RNG is embeded in that process.
This is different. The product literature clearly stated this shouldn’t happen. It happened. So now those who didnt have this problem are even higher Item lvl and this will make me have even more problems to get into groups.
More than that, I play the game to see my character advance. If the system is rotten and the CS can’t/won’t help if I have a problem, what’s the point of keep playing? What’s the point in participating into the system if it’s bugged and it will grant a percentage of the players an unfair advantage over the ones affected by the bug?

I received two identical cloaks from my bonus rolls in Algathar yesterday and I received the exact same copy paste as you did.

I received the same copy paste as well.
This happened to me rolled on a +10 AA and got the ring then did a +12 and got the ring again.
I see there is a patch going through right now. Is there any blue post regarding this issue?
I am posting this in every forum about this so I can help with visibility. I experienced something similar in raid:
In Dream Rift. I have a mythic chest and used my bonus roll at a what I thought was a 50-50 shot at Gaze (rolling as resto so only Gaze - Mail Belt would be left in loot pool) and received a mythic chest piece….
Just to clarify, the bonus roll loot table is separate from normal drops. Only items that you bonus roll will be removed from the loot table of subsequent bonus rolls. As such, items you received from the normal loot table are still eligible to be bonus rolled.
That doesn’t mean there isnt a bug as there are reports of people getting the same items from M+ bonus rolls.
Happened to me as well from Nexus-Point. Received 2 Omission of Light rings. Hope this gets resolved quickly.
Just reporting here as well for visibility. I had three cores total (third from vault). I ran POS three times on M+10. First time got mail shoulders, I did use a catalyst on them. The second run I got the necklace. The third time I got the same damn shoulders. Got Hella pissed and logged off because they told us this would not happen.
Unfortunately your issue is working as intended. The loot pool doesn’t consider what you already own, it’s meant to consider what you’ve already looted via specifically the use of voidcores.
Could you tell me in which specific player assistance section you opened the ticket? I tried to open one and they marked it as resolved indicating that they couldn’t do anything about it. It doesn’t seem to be a response from a GM but rather an automatic one.
