aside from seasonal rewards, the only major content that’s been removed is og naxx, and the wod/mop legendary quests.
well and pre-cata obviously, but that’s a slightly different situation. The content was more replaced than just removed.

I have a black tabby. It was removed. I’m not sure anyone actually cares though, there are still a ton of cats and even ones that aren’t really noticeably different unless you’re really looking.
I feel like that’s the essence of most of what has been removed. Like, it’s a thing, but hardly a big thing? I guess.

haha no… just… cut it out and stitched it up.
after an astronomical amount of surgery, (never let surgeons put mesh inside your body) they decided that the incisions around the belly button were a possible source of infection, and just removed it.
anything can be removed at any time… yet people don’t seem to care until they can’t get it any more.
nope… still obtainable.
