Nazjatar quest reward weapons

I dont get what your saying… there was all of s02 to get a 375+ weapon. I have 8 toons, all of them have 370+ weapons and only this toon pvps in rated content and raids heroic. Ppl will have a 400+ weapon really quickly. I dont get the drama of an adjusted value. On the other side they increased ap knowledge even more in live than it was on the ptr it seems.

…wow 370, how generous of you,…

It was in for 3 or 4 PTR builds. It was an easy ‘bug’ to fix if it was a bug. If they had any consideration for their playerbase they would have said something when there were all those threads crying about this on the PTR.

It would have saved all this bad blood if they had.

Just another example of the incompetence all through Blizzard

He can only tell you what the Developers told him… Don’t hate on the messenger. Kaivax has been around for a while and I appreciate him. I may not like the message he is imparting as in this one, but that isn’t his fault. Grow up.

Uh. I think you misread that entirely.

Kaivax is doing a good job of shooting down unreasonable expectations.

A quick little tweet or post about this being unintended sometime before it went live would have done a lot to prevent threads like this.
Obviously they realized a 415 was too strong(which honestly it was), stealth fixed it, sent it live without any notes and are now calling it a bug.

370 is virtually useless for anyone on a character who was active during 8.1.5 and amazing for any fresh 120s gearing up.

A scaling quest rewards that capped at 395 or 400 would have been the best solution, imo. Sucks having to roll the dice for a weapon on the rare occasion an Emissary rewards one.

TL;DR Blizz messed up, realized it, ninja fixed it, and is now calling it a bug…

If you saw the the 415 weapon reward as a quest reward in PTR … you likely didn’t bother to finish the 500 conquest farm during S2 (certainly not on any alts).

Finding out on the last day/day of… doesn’t give you enough time to do it. At this point … a free 370 … you will likely just say ‘meh’ close enough and not bother.

It’s not really drama. Point is this is a pattern of this kind of poor communication. There were a lot of questions about what would happen to cache rewards, whether or not they would reset emissaries, etc., etc.

Like I said - they need to pull their head out of their <>. The same blue could have posted last week and said btw that initial weapon ilvl is incorrect.

Ok? None of that constitutes marketing. Either way, like others have said, to believe that anyone would get a 415 item level weapon for basically clicking on an NPC was laughable at best. This is the result of an overly entitled playerbase that has been handed loot like candy for way, way too long. It’s Blizzard’s own fault so now they get to reap what they sow.

If that was your intention I’ll say I’m sorry… but that isn’t how I read it.

Streamers who mythic raid believed people were getting a 415 weapon. Blizzard has done this thing all expansion long. Don’t you remember the PvP quest.

It has not a single thing to do with whatever insults you want to hurl around.

I see what ur saying niw. So ppl were just not playing content in s02 coz the ptr for 8.2 had a 415 intro quest reward. I disagree on this being blizz fault at not communicating. They have stated many times that ptr stuff is not to be trusted. Ive posted on a similar topic weeks ago that the intro 415 weapon seemed too high and is pbbly a bug. Many others did too.

True, I’m sure he’s only following orders. To a degree, that’s even true of Ion during those abysmal Q&A sessions featuring cherry picked questions and answers requiring a PhD in legalese to decipher. Those pulling those strings no longer give a crap about games or the people who play them. Their calculation is that this will cause some measurable increase in MAU, so that makes it a good thing.

And what does that have to do with anything? As far as I know, there are no streamers that know the workings within the development team. They can talk up whatever they want but bottom line, even they should know that anything on the PTR is up for change.

Also, entitled is less of an insult and more of a fact. This isn’t the first time the people that hardly play the game have been up in arms over losing out on their freebies.

So an entire zone of useless rewards that no one will give 2 cents about? Got it.

The only thing making this already ugly, boring designed zone worth any effort is flying.

Pretty sad when your developers have to bait people with pathfinder 2 just to get them to play again.

That’s fair.

Like I said it looked high… but who knows, WoW is now PvE seasons with each patch, so who knows.

They also couldn’t take a moment to literally prioritize fixing like the first 4 quests in their new content. Like its literally the second quest (set of 3).

That’s not a great first impression of the quality of their new content.

If that’s their intent, in my case they have failed.

Peace out all, happy rep grinding

I don’t think you have a clue what people do in this game. I am betting I spend twice as much time in this game (well up to 8.2) than you do, so don’t tell me about ‘hardly’ playing the game.

A lot of raiders just come on and play for 6 hours a week.

You make the assumption that they read what’s on the forums, though.

I think that was their intent as well. They figured flying would keep everyone hooked.

I don’t need flying anymore. It took too long to come and I already leveled up 15 120s.

I can come back and get flying just for completion sake in a year when that area isn’t as miserable to do.
