Nazjatar is the worst zone in the entire game

Just my opinion and feedback on Nazjatar :

Nazjatar is currently my least favorite zone Blizzard has ever made, and by far.

  1. The terrain. I thought Blizzard would have learned their lesson from Argus, but evidently, they didn’t. The terrain is incredibly frustrating to deal with. The entire zone is densely packed with mobs, and even elite mobs. Dazing becomes a real problem, so I should just use the new mount equipment to prevent dazing, correct? Well there’s also water too, the entire south side of the zone is covered in it. It’s a choice of dog puke or dog crap.

This is a little nitpick, but i did find it annoying that I had to do a quest chain to unlock the flight master whistle for Nazjatar. The quest chain was short enough to where it was bearable, but still, Mechagon just let us use it for free, and Mechagon is the one where I don’t need it as much.

I go to an icon on the map, and rarely ever find what I’m looking for. It could be underneath me, it could be above me, it could be in a cave. All the vertical terrain makes it incredibly frustrating to find what I’m looking for.

  1. The quests are absolutely horrendous. The requisition quests are almost all annoyingly frustrating or grindy. We all know how awful the 10 angel scale starfish was. Or the 3 nazjatar rares, you know, rares that die within a minute of spawning. That seems like a quest much more suited for mechagon, where we have jetpacks, a much more flat terrain, and the rares yell when they spawn.

Also, what’s the deal with some of the daily quests not telling you where to go? No map icon and no directions in the quest text? Do I really have to WoWhead them all? Or do you expect players to be happy to explore this zone? Because I surely do not. Especially when all the quests are incredibly uninspired and just seem like timesink chores.

I personally don’t mind the jumping jellies or the line minigame to unlock the chests. But I can see how these are very frustrating for some players.

  1. Phasing is incredibly annoying. For all these collection quests, there’s nothing more frustrating then finding what you need, and they running up to it only to watch it disappear.

And it feels bad that I go to a quest, only to see dozens of other people from realms i’ve never even heard of all tagging the same mobs I need.

  1. Finally, the rewards are abysmal. Almost all the rares drop little reskinned pets, which if you don’t care about pets, it’s not really worth the hassle.

Moreover, why do quests that take half an hour only reward 50 rep? The most frustrating quests are the least rewarding, it makes no sense.
The only real reward seems to be benthic gear, but getting the pearls to upgrade it seems miserable right now.

Final thoughts: I didn’t mind pathfinder, but when you lock it behind frustrating zones like Nazjatar, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I will never enjoy Nazjatar because of my first impressions of it. I don’t care about anything related to Nazjatar, be it story, the meta achievement mount, pets, etc. Even with flying, this place has already been ruined for me.

PS: My tab button is broken

PSS: I forgot to mention that the PVP event is really boring. It’s like tol barad where you capture points around the map, and just kinda defend them for 20 minutes. It’s incredibly unbalanced, and there are very few alliance doing it. This sucks for both sides, because in order to get rewards, you need to kill someone on the other faction. It’s very possible that horde will not see a single alliance during the event. And alliance are just very outnumbered. It’ll only get worse every week too, as less and less alliance will even bother. Also, why is there no countdown for the event?

Ya exploring the zone is bad because every 2 feet there’s a mob being aggro’d and dismounting or ledges to fall off.

Needs flying

I just do what I can and get out

My thoughts exactly.

I pity classes that don’t have feign death. I can’t imagine having to fight 5 mobs at at time every 50 feet to get to the next quest.

Personally I love tripping over starfish and coral elementals one day, then spend an hour looking for any evidence that they aren’t extinct the next.

I will have to say it is my least favorite to do. I will be glad when the rep grind is over. I try to do what I can and get out. Just very annoying to get around.

Definitely gets my vote for the worst zone they have ever created.

I can finish the entire Mechagon zone dailes in a shorter period of time then I can some of these single dailies in Nazjatar.

I think I might just avoid the requisition quests (the one where you have to collect 10 of the ground items) and the kill 3 rares bounty quests and then maybe it wont be so bad. Those are the quests that seem to be toxic.

The entire BFA expansion feels like punishment. The new zones make it cruel and unusual.

Yeah, it is one of my top 5 fave zones in the game!

I know how to read layouts.

Lots of people complained about world quests, so they seemed to have brought back dailies, in combination with some world quests. To me, that’s the main problem.

Rares need to last longer, and show up in the map.
I’m sure they will eventually fix the phasing issues though.

The hard terrain is there to make you think things are close but in fact is just artificially increasing the time you take to get things done, I’m pretty sure this is intended.

Today we got the jumping WQ (didn’t complete it), kill 3 rares and collect 10 items, I spent 3 hours running around to complete everything.

Nazjatar is blizzard’s materialization of time consuming content.

Ignoring them is the only way I have been able to maintain my sanity.

I pick them all up, then complete the easy quests like ‘kill Commander Nagadude’ or the puzzles or take the wine to a cave, then whistle / fly back to town.

Anything I happened to complete - I turn in, anything I didn’t will auto delete when the reset happens.

I refuse to run around the place like a rat in a maze for an hour plus to do a quest that awards 50 rep and 45 war resources.

Not bothering with either zone tbh. Throwing down mobs every 5 feet just as a annoyance is not compelling gameplay imo. Sub is up is up in 6 days. Will just level up next expansion, and go back, and nuke the entire zone to get pathfinder done. Much like I did for Legion pathfinder. Got to 120, and blasted every world quest, and legion invasion when up, and had Legion pathfinder done quickly. Rare mobs that are hardly ever up when you get to them in Naz, and Mech, because of crz faction imbalances just adds tedium on top of tedium. EA cant get those Command& Conquer rts game remasters done fast enough lol.

I’m enjoying it. The terrain is fun. The mob density is fun. Sometimes i stealth and feel like I’m a sneaky assassin cuz I am
I have yet to get dazed even when I have 10 mobs nipping at my heels.
To each their own I suppose. I don’t mind a little hassle for my rewards. The quests are easy. Finding them has been easy with wowhead getting more comments everyday. I also use the chat channels too. gasp

Anywho. I feel that you’re blowing this out of proportion.
