Neri Sharpfin a follower you pick up in new home keeps killing beasts my hunter is trying to tame. This is a beastly interference that goes back years. is there any way around it? I cant even unassign her like we can with garrison followers. No dismiss button! surely developers could code this such that if hunter initiate tame, then follower DO NOT KILL beast hunter is attempting to tame!
You can right click her icon where all your buffs are to dismiss her.

But can you get her back, or is she gone for the day?
If you go back to the calling conch at newhome you can resummon her. Also if you zone out of Naz and back in she automatically comes back.

Or just freeze trap. The follower stops attacking if it is trapped.
right click dismiss followers.
Also if you are a true hunter you would know to trap your beast before you tame … she will not aggro it … also right click her head on your buff window to get rid of her an go back to get her after you have tamed what ever you wanted

Happened to me when doing the initial quest on those rays that fly 42 ft in the air. Finally get one and he kills it
You can get around this issue easily. Trap pet or dismiss follower before taming.
I’m wondering when Blizzard will fix my follower not camouflaging or feigning death properly when I do. It tends to make having a follower a liability.

DOH. OMG. I feel like such a dork. never occurred to me to look to dismiss them up there. I was looking at their info to dismiss like we do our pets. lol
