Naxxramas the guild breaker

Naxx was released too soon. We all knew this. Everyone knew this. Blizzard did not care though and refused to listen. They wanted large 4th quarter profits for their shareholders. it was released alongside shadowlands.

Naxxramas was not the guild breaker people thought. The raid itself. Its a little more consume intensive and a big step up from aq. But the raid difficulty was not the reason its a guild breaker. The above paragraph is why.

I personally am one of the people who plays waayyyy more shadowlands than classic and basically only raid log. I don’t want to fall behind in a quite excellent retail expansion to farm gold for naxx in classic. Luckily I have a few thousand gold stocked up to spend. When that runs out, I too will be laying my thunderfury down for good.

They needed to release naxx in January.

Naxx. The guild breaker.

In other words. You were NOT PREPARED!
This is why we don’t have our TBC announcement. Thanks.

It is almost the same as any raid, wiping is expensive, one shotting is very much less so.

We finally got 15/15 this week and we all spent lots of gold to get there but I think now that we’ve progressed the fights the coming weeks will be much cheaper.

I personally couldn’t take another 2 - 3 months of raiding AQ. It is the most boring instance ever. I hate it almost as much as Ulduar.

Yet, funnily, all you saw prior was “hurry up with naxx”!!

Now it’s “hurry up with tbc”!!!

Next: “you rushed tbc”!!

As a matter of fact there has already been at least one thread that said blizzard is rushing it. What was that release date again? oh yeah…

This is your thread : Nax release date is perfect. Id rather have more time in naxx than more time in AQ - WoW Classic / WoW Classic General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com)

YOU said the release date was perfect.
“NAX RELEASE DATE IS PERFECT. ID RATHER HAVE MORE TIME IN NAXX THAN MORE TIME IN AQ: I’m pretty exhausted from aq and can’t wait for naxx. I just don’t like the whole hive/old god/Egyptian style of the raid. It’s very boring to me and I don’t find it very engaging as an environment. Maybe some people feel this way as well.”

I always said I thought it should be January.

Are you being a hypocrite or just forgetful?

Lots of stuff in Classic was released too soon. Dire Maul, BWL, BGs each phase should have been 6 months long. Blizzard always screws up when they listen to the player base on the forums the majority of which crush content and get bored. Let them log out and go do something else they will come back when the new hot thing is released.

Gamers in 2020 are like locusts. They consume as fast as the can and then move onto the next thing.

hahahahah BUSTED !!! HAHHA

btw I agree with his statement in the other thread. AQ is super annoying and disgusting raid and I really dont like it. Its not difficult or anything. It just has extremely annoying trash and the design has nothing cool to it.

Naxx on the other hand has one of the coolest designs, absolutely epic music, fantastic story behind it and nice boss fights.

Ulduar!? Really?

I think they timed it to max overall subs.

Better to keep people oversaturated with reasons to sub rather than stretch it out and risk losing opportunity to pull people into retail, or worse let their sub lapse for any reason.

Guilds were going to run Naxx and move on anyway. There was wayyy to much prep going on…only bots were winning that race. Besides, if Classic is so awesome, then why bother or worry about any tbc release schedule?

My theory is that people want decisions made to keep other players in their version of a wow world, and on the terms of the nostalgic player: kind of like controlling parents.

Let people decide

That survey will keep most Classic players around anyway. Brilliant timing on Blizzards part

God forbid people’s opinions on things evolve.

It was months too soon, but they had to pump those 4th Q #s up. Which is why they dumped SL and naxx right on top of one another instead of after the holidays.

Is what it is at this point. No going back

I agree that people can change their minds but he stated this in his OP:
"Naxx was released too soon. We all knew this. Everyone knew this. Blizzard did not care though and refused to listen. "

So listen to who exactly? Not him obviously.

This guy constantly comes on here and makes contradictory pointless threads.

Still, it’s more conducive to ask him what made him change his mind about his previous statement instead of going on a semantic analysis and outright calling him a hypocrite.

He’s not going to answer “Hey Zombie, what changed your mind?” questions. He never answers stuff like that.

It’s like when he said Naxx was too easy and he was 4/15 and wiping for 3 hours. People asked him about that and there was no response.

I called him out on this and other people agreed so that’s how it is.

This. We’ve got it down to one night now which has dramatically decreased the time necessary to farm buffs/consumes.
If you’re in a guild that’s going to be progressing in Naxx for weeks or months the cost will be pretty crippling though unless you get smart about when you call for consumes so you’re not blowing them on 15 second wipes.

I’d rather play shadowlands than farm for gold in Classic sure, but there really is no way to “fall behind” in Shadowlands other than maybe temporarily with legendaries but you can cap those out in a few weeks anyway. Its not like BFA where if you missed your cloak upgrade once you were boned for the rest of that content.

True, aq was the most boring raid ever, i prefered to do bwl instead of aq
