I never raided the Classic content (not at 60, at any rate,) but I did raid the hell out of Naxx in Wrath of the Lich King at both the 10 man level, and the 25 man level.
Aside from obvious organizational issues the 40 man raids would have, were there many differences?
Yes the original was significantly harder.
The Wrath Naxx was an absolute joke when compared to the original Naxx.
The encounters are obviously similar or the same because it is the same raid.
But in the Original Naxx everything did massively more damage when compared to Wrath Naxx.

Damage numbers didn’t actually change that much comparatively, what did change was player HP and DPS numbers.

Numerous mechanics were changed to accommodate a lack of players in the raid, and some mechanics were removed entirely. As was said above though, the numbers were almost untouched. Bosses were doing as much damage at 60 as they were at 80.
It’s been a very long time since I’ve done naxx in any capacity that requires you to follow mechanics, so I don’t remember much as far as specifics unfortunately. The only change I can remember off the top of my head is instructor razuvious. There was no object to let you mc his trainees at 60, you needed priests.

I didn’t do naxx in vanilla but I did do it with my guild in bc and it was still hard as heck even at level 70. I never saw the end of it until it was remade in wrath and got much easier at 10/25-man.
Original Naxxramas was tuned for the highest achievers in the game. It was the “Mythic Raiding” of its time.
Wrath of the Lich King Naxxramas was tuned to be very easily beaten by basically everyone.
Put another way; raiding on Normal was accessible by everyone in WotLK by design where in Vanilla WoW it was an achievement ladder. Complete this so you can do that.
You need pretty much every consumable available and world buffs.
Mistakes will actually wipe you instead of being a happy little accident where 1 person dies and you continue on with the pull as if nothing happened.
This video does a good job explaining it:
Well, he explained it. I can’t say he did a good job.

I was going to post that then saw your post lol
Heh, that makes classes a bit more essential!
I think the damage was near the same in lv 80 vs lv 60 naxx, so you had a lot less hp and still taking similar dmg. Also a few fights had differences such as heigan and the room he teleported ppl to in the original.
Several bosses like this with no object in the game that does it for you.
You need mana drains for Moam in AQ20. When he reaches 100% mana you wipe…
