I have all of the current raid Wrath achievements, and again, you ignored my Undying Title. Until you acknowledge that I possess an achievement that can no longer be obtained, was obtained during Wrath current content by an elite few, and NEITHER of you have.
We are done.
I’m more of a wrath raider than both of you ever were. Don’t know why you are on a crusade for nothing, and finally, good bye.
I have the same achievements as him, I just got them in 2009-2010 because I was deployed, he got them as soon as they came out, 90% of people, like me got them in 2009 or 10.
And again, I still got the Undying Title achievement, when it was current.
well youre right and wrong at the same time, we have six for example. he cant hold aggro for crap but has better gears , make it make sense, BUT yuu have a weaker char that has aggro hand hands down and his a bit weaker… which one will you take?
All right. I ran pug 25 last night. I was the lead and I did screening of all players.
We had roughly half at full preraid BIS, maybe 5 naxx10 geared and another 10’ish a little under preraid BIS.
We did 3 wings.
Healers were oom at the end of some fights.
Patchwork was the actual gear check. We got him down 10 seconds AFTER tanks died. Hd like 10 people alive.
The reason I ran pug is because my raid team first raid is next week. So I ran a pug to get a few pieces, badges, as well as get an idea of what it will be like.
Conclusion - you should be going full preraid BIS & strong tanks. Some fights were quite long/
pre-raid BIS is what you can get from dungeons. Your best pieces, including 200ilvl epics.
That’s why it’s called preraid BIS.
This is from 25 specifically. Not for 10. I’m running my 10 tomorrow.
Sure, you can go all out and get 100% preraid BIS, or you can still put in effort and get to sub 190ilvl.
Getting preraid BIS takes 3-4 world tours.
Because I can tell you right now, there is a big performance difference between those who put in effort prior to raiding and those who just dinged 80 and want a carry.
And yes, some bosses do have tight enrage timers. My pug group couldn’t beat 1 boss due to enrage timer.
10 man is quite easy even with sub optimal geared players “including the off tank”, but patchwork may be a challenege if the off tank is under 27k hp buffed. 25 man as you said was not as easy with many of my raid in in less than stellar gear. Our healers strugged to keep up and because of our off tanks lack of hit points we got stuck on patchwork.
I was the only tank who could take the hateful strikes and not get 1 shot. So obviously I was off tanking. Our next best tank only had 24k hp buffed and he main tanked that fight and he got obliterated. We cleared all the other wings though, but it was not as easy as ppl will lead you to beleive.
10 man however was pretty ezpz. I still had to offtank on patchwork because even in 10 man our poorly geared tank could not take hatefulls. That said, he was also hardly able to tank patchwork, and we had a few wipes where he died because healers just couldnt keep him up, but eventually we got him. After patchwork died, it was an easy clear from there.
TLDR - 25 man you’re not going to clear with poorly geared players and tanks MUST be well geared. 10 man, tanks should both be pretty close to pre raid BiS or Patchwork is harder than he needs to be, the rest of the raid is ezpz and can be cleared with suboptimal gear.
unless its a tank. The tank and off tank need to be at a decent gear level to get past patchwork even in 10 man.
Our offtank almost got us stuck there because he only had 24k hp buffed, and our healers could not keep him up. We wiped quite a few times because he was so hard to heal. I had to off tank “34k hp buffed” to take the hatefuls.
But you’re right, there is hardly a gear check in 10 man for dps, and a slight gear check for healers. “Just enough so they don’t oom”
posting on the forums is a waste of time. Instead of posting, you could be in game making money. So you are not only wasting your time, you are losing money. GJ
Tanks and healer’s not with standing (they need to be somewhat geared). But for dps this is rubbish.
Okay, so, I’m definitely a filthy casual. Item level currently at 171.
Anywho I managed to get into a nax 10 man - only had nine people in it and the raid was partially done and falling apart by the time I joined. Apparently I was the wrong class and too undergeared to be considered for a full run.
But it allowed me to do something - have a crack at Patchwerk in my poxy rubbish gear.
I was not top dps or particularly special (around 3200 dps). But easily enough to down the “gear check” boss. The same dps across the raid at 25 man would have also been successful.
The upshot - you definitely don’t need preraid bis to do Nax. People are waaaay over thinking it and being elitist. Oh and yeah Fury warriors are clearly meme and unviable now ;p - not. Nax 2.0 doesn’t require full sweat mode. There’s room for everyone to chill and have fun.
When did I say anywhere that the DPS in a 10 man needed to be geared? I said tanks and somewhat the healers.
I actually specifically said
Not even impossible, just harder than it needs to be. And my 10 man run proved that. Our off tank only had 24k HP buffed, and he was getting destroyed by Patchwork. I had 34k hp buffed so I was taking the hateful strikes.
We wiped 4 times because the other tank kept going down, even when I and our 2 other pallies in the raid were popping sac to try and help absorb some of the damage.
It was not until we got our off tank 3 pcs of gear from the other wings that we downed him and finished the raid.
