I had 0 epics on my priest and druid and for all but my first premade I didn’t fully enchant or gem simply because of how horrible the vendor had everything laid out.
Also never once did I say anyone said it was going to be hard. Infact I’ve never seen a single person say that. What I said was it is going to be far easier than people think.
Easier being the key word. As in they think it’s easy, but it will be easier than that.
I’m not, I have no complaint at all. I just don’t get where you get off though making a point of telling others on a forum how deficient you think they are and how good you think you are by comparison.
Probably needs a call out that it is technically possible; using exploits and helpers who kill mobs that you’ve tagged.
That said, Auril is posting from a L24 Death Knight.
It’s questionable whether he even has a single WotLK Classic character, let alone any level 80s.
And if he does have a level 80, his ignorance suggests he didn’t earn it. (Interpret that as you wish. )
I like how this thread was kept alive by people arguing with a grey parsing paladin arguing with people about his gear sets and pre-bis were so good lmao.
I never said anybody NEEDED to buy the ring. I said the ring part of the BiS list… and it is. And there is zero RNG tied to it. You buy it with gold. The context behind that statement was the person said they are “getting unlucky with drops”, I pointed out that 13 out of 17 of their items are not dropped items.
So see, when you add the proper context, it makes much more sense huh? Well it would for normal people, some of you… I’m not too sure about.
Now you’re going with selective editing to inentionally try and misrepresent what I said. My full quote to you was
Key words here… AT LEVEL 80…. Meaning you had 10 days to level and do 2 world tours. 2 World tours takes a total of 7 hours. 3.5 hours each. “Unless you’re a really slow group, then maybe 4 hours each”.
But good attempt at misrepresenting what I actually wrote.
At the time of our previou conversation, Wrath was out for 10 days. In those 10 days, say it took you 7 to get to 70. That’s still 3 days to finish 2 heroic world tours. Heroics, on average take 15 minutes to complete. And just so you don’t try and take anything out of context. I did say ON AVERAGE. So dungeons like AN that take 6 to 8 minutes, are offset by dungeons like Halls of Lighting that takes 20.
Two wourld tours, + your badges from leveling, + your rep from leveling, and then the rep you get from doing all the heroics twice with the proper tabards on will get you the VAST majority, of your pre raid gear.
Like I said, it’s never been easier to gear in a fresh expansion as it is now.
When did I say that I didn’t understand that some people don’t play the way that I do? I’ve said at least 20 times in this conversation that people play differently from one another. And I’m just pointing out how easy and quick it is “and it is”, to get the majority of your pre raid gear.
I’ve also stated MULTIPLE times, that to raid Nax you dont NEED pre raid gear… but if you’re trying to run Nax in a PUG on week 1, and you’re not at least close to it, don’t be shocked when they take another DPS/Tank/Healer that has put the time and energy into getting the gear. Especially since it’s so easy.
I even gave the blueprint on how its done. Here… I’ll post it one more time with the steps listed so even you can follow along… maybe…
Step 1 - Get to 80 “Do it at your own pace, if you’re not trying to raid this week 90% of EVERYTHING I posted does not pertain to you”
Step 2 - Do 2 heroic World Tours - This takes 7 hours of game play. Even if you can’t dedicate 3.5 hours in one sitting to do the world tour, you can get the same results by just doing a grand total of 24 heroics broken up over however many days. I was simply listing the FASTEST way to get it done.
Step 3 - Be almost fully pre raid BiS by completing step 1 and 2, and have fun raiding or doing whatever other activity you want to do in the game.
Wow that was hard.
Things I did NOT say - One more time so the people in the back can hear me…
1 - I did NOT say you HAD to do this, or if you don’t do this you’re a bad player.
2 - I did NOT say you NEED pre raid BiS to raid Nax or do any other activity.
3 - I did NOT say you SHOULD be able to level to 80 in 1 or 2 days.
Things I DID say -
1- People play differently, everybody has their own pace, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as people are enjoying the game.
2 - Only people trying to Pug Nax the first week it’s out should worry about getting as much of their pre raid gear so they are selected for the group they are trying to get into.
And if you’re trying to push that content, and you’re not 80 with close to pre raid bis, then yes… you’ve done it wrong… Again, key words. IF YOU’RE TRYING TO PUSH THAT CONTENT IN WEEK 1.
I’m sure you’ll take this post, and twist my words, do some selective “quoting” like you and a few others have been doing. So have fun with that.
I’ll go ahead and squash you now. Me and many other veteran original Wrath raiders think you super serious kids are hilarious. And this is coming from someone who got the ORIGINAL Undying title back in Wrath. One of the most sought after titles in WoW.
I bet you are either late teens or early 20’s , you work a crappy job but don’t pay your own bills, and think that being brusk and a jerk in WoW makes you elite. It doesn’t
Looking at Auril’s achievements compaired to yours in WotLK, he has far more than you AND he did his back in current content. The vast majority of yours are in 2018 and above.
Guess you didn’t squash him very well… You actually made yourself look silly.
WoW holy crap you don’t know how achievements work. My original feat of strength for Undying Title is from 2010. on The character sychophantam on Area 52 who used to be named Warchar.
You couldn’t earn Undying Title after 2010, stop being an idiot. All of my feats of strength and achievements from back then are from the current content in Wrath.
This Warchar is not the original character, My original Warchar that is now called Sychophantam is on Area 52 and has them , but the account wide achievements show it as well.

I remember way back when, you needed to have some crazy gearscore to do x or y… but to do x or y which would drop the gear you need to get to that crazy gearscore so it was a viscous circle. People who had the crazy gear score didnt want to do the contain that wasnt hard anymore but people trying to get the gearscore boost werent allowed to join since their gear sucked.
they should add an achievement for content “I did this heroic dungeon or x event - in my green jeans” meaning all green gear! that would be funny to spam when someone says link your achivements before you can join
I am looking at your account wide achievements bud, and I see that he earned more raid achievements faster than you and when they were in current content.
Let’s just take a look.

List goes on and on my guy. You assumed he was a young kid that didn’t play original wrath and clearly he did. He also clearly cleared content with his guild faster than yours did.
You both are pretty, but he’s just slightly more pretty.
