Enhancement shaman is probably one of the harder classes to gear. I’ll admit that. That said though. Only 7 items out of 17 are dungeon drops. Everything else is either crafted or badges.
There is quite alot of BiS and near BiS crafted gear as well…
Highly doubt it since Naxx/OS/Eye is very easy content that does not require you to be super geared in order to complete.
People will still want SOME effort put into your character before inviting you to the raids. I know I wont bring somebody in 1/2 greens that are not enchanted and gear that has no gems in the gem slots. It just is what it is.
If you’re gonna pug, then at least put in SOME work and don’t expect a carry unless you’re paying gold for it.
All I ever hear about in Classic is BiS this, BiS that. Just do some heroics and get some upgrades. You’ll do fine.
That’s alot of adulting. Getting to 73 is like 4 hours of work. Wrath has been out over a week.
Or you can just get the crafted PvP gear and call it a day.
I have more than 4 hours played. I’ve enjoyed all of it.
Depends on the class and content you’re trying to clear. Being full BiS is not the line MOST people draw when inviting somebody to a phase 1 raid, but at least putting effort into your character/gear IS something most people want to see.
If somebody shows up with their gear not enchanted, no gems in it, and in quest blues and greens, sorry they are going to be replaced by a DPS who actually put in some effort.
If a tank or healer showed up in those items… well then the raid is not going to go very well. Tank wont be Def capped, heals will struggle to keep up.
People are not entitled to a raid spot, it’s as simple as that. You have to earn it.
If you want to not get invited sure. The crafted pvp set has 3% hit on it and no expertise. It also only had 15% crit. That’s not gonna cut the mustard.
If you want to be bad and you have a guild that is okay with you being bad then sure, have at it.
As a pally, in the crafted pvp set if you’re good, you can expect to push around 1.5k single target on raid bosses. That’s hot garbage.
That’s fantastic! That’s all that matters. But being only 73 at this point if you have more than 4 hours in, is not due to “adulting” it’s because you’re going slow. And there is nothing wrong with that. Play the game how you want. Just don’t make excuses for being behind.
I wanna know how you get to 73 in 4 hours.
Not me I’ve got a guild that I have good standing in. Sorry about your luck.
Depends on the class Taures. On my pally I soloed BoT to 73 getting over 1.5 million xp per hour. That said, I was in full sunwell gear, but even as a kara geared or full brutal pally you can solo bot just a bit slower getting 750k to 1mill xp an hour.
On my rogue I got it via questing. But I had flying right at 70 because of my pally. I’m not sure what my xp per hour would be from 70 to 74 without epic flight Maybe around the same 750k to 800k an hour.
Either way getting to 73 is a 4 maybe 5 hour task if you know what you’re doing and are not in lvl 70 boosted greens.
Doing it wrong by having a job and a family?
I have a job and family. Work 50+ hour weeks, go to my daughters football games and watch her cheer. I don’t see that as being a huge roadblock for leveling/gearing. That said, if you’re playing casually an hour or two a night then sure. But to assume it can’t be done if somebody has a family/job is just not accurate.
The leveling process in Wrath is fast and easy. So is the gearing process for 90% of your gear.
Are there people who because of work/life situations that can’t rush to 80 and get gear? Sure… are they the people trying to run Nax the first week the raid opens? AKA the people I’m talking about - Nah probably not.
Don’t care, did many runs when it first came out, dont need elitists to tell me what i can and cant run
Well if you can’t get in a group then people ARE telling you what you can and can’t run… Unless you form your own groups, and if that’s the case then good on ya! Hopefully you can find some folks to carry you through raids if you’re not gonna work on your gear.

the only people that are full BIS by now are the people who havent worked a minute since Wrath opened AND have utilized a method to stay logged in 24/7 to not get caught by queues.
-
if someone is stupid/lazy/narcissitic/arrogant enough to demand full preraid BIS for Naxx 25 they literally arent worth dealing with unless you are every bit the minmax antifun sweatlord that they are.
-
the aforementioned oxygen thieves in #2 are a hyperminority. Make your own group, there are far more people thatll step into naxx with middling gear and clear it just fine than there are unwashed ing sweaties thatll demand to crash thru it in 45 minutes or less.
