Most definitely need it for Sapphiron
Technically you could, if the rest of the raid let you die on the floor and 39 manned Sapphiron.

Some classes like mages can pull it with just a few FR pieces, that’s about it.
It would be a major Pain in the rectum.
what was the shorthand for Frost resistance, it wasn’t FR, wasn’t it like Fr, dang now I need to google that,lol
every one needed FR for Sapp, massive amounts of AoE.

Sometime players get confused as FR could also refer to frost resistance. However FR is usually reserved for fire, and frost resistance is spelled out or referred to as FrR.
Sapphiron deals 599 frost damage every 1 second to the entire raid. ttps://classic.wowhead.com/spell=28531/frost-aura
So with no frost resistance you’d need to put out 24,000 HPS to keep up with the raid damage alone, who also had new spells like circle of healing and wild growth for aoe healing.
The amount of healers you’d need to put out that HPS would cause you to hit the berserk timer.
By way of comparison, level 80 Sapphiron did 1600 frost damage a second, to players with five times as much HP.

FtR was what we used.
yah I didn’t think there was ever a hard and fast one as it was not used that much at all honestly from what I recall.
FrT was another one that rings a bell to me.
is this is nax thats to hard for any guild to do or the nerfed nex wwe will be getting first.
if you remember no guild could beat nax until they nerfed it.
I got 3.7k HP back on Naxx40 with mix of T2 to T3 gear. I did 225 Frost resist for Sapphiron. Yes, there are crafted Frost resist gear and I still have it today.
