I have some questions, is Denathrius leader of all Nathrezim? Their plot is over?
Denathrius is their overall leader, yes.
That said, Denathrius is still alive, so they could always pick up that story thread later.
They mentioned Lothraxion in the Draenei heritage questline. He’s heavily implied to be a spy working for Denathrius.
I hope Loth turns out not to be a traitor. A genuine convert is so much more interesting then yet another infiltrator.
While I hope he stays a genuine convert, him being a traitor and deceiver are hallmarks of the Nathrezim. If anything, I suspect we’ll find out in Midnight most likely. Or more hints in TWW if anything
Assuming the Lightforged have a role in the new saga at all that is
Same here but we both know Blizzard will always take the safe, predictable route instead of the more interesting and complex one.
So….which expansion you think we’ll be killing him in then? I say The Last Titan most likely
Bold to assume we should get that honor.
I was only an infant when my father was deployed to this wasteland. All that I have ever known of him is what others have told me. Do your dreams change, ? Mine do not. I have one dream: A crimson skyline envelops me as Legion, numbering beyond comprehension, battle in the distance. I kneel before the body of a man, presumably my father, and weep. As he is gasping for air, his body wholly crushed, he whispers something. Despite every effort, I am unable to hear what he is trying to tell me.
Nathrezim are really good liars. And he’s had thousands of years to perfect that story. I take it with a dumpster full of salt
Could’ve easily wiped the Army of Light away if he mentioned their location to the other dreadlords. Writing him to be a traitor is going to be difficult… much like Sylvanas working with Zovaal.
Difficult sure, but not impossible. And dragging out the war might have been his M.O the entire time. The longer the war goes on, the more planets the lightforged go to which means more planets the legion gets to burn which leads to more souls going to Zooval
In their report on the cosmic forces, the Nathrezim note the Light’s weakness is its self righteousness, it likes nothing more than to be proven right. A well practiced Dreadlord professing that it had well… seen the Light as it were… would find the Naaru a receptive audience.
As for Denathrius… I suspect he will crop up having hijacked part of the fractured Legion remnants.
I have two main reasons why I feel Loth shouldn’t be a spy in secret for Daddy D
-
It creates conflict within the Dreadlords ranks. That one of their own could find themselves fighting for a cause that goes against their creator. Denathrius also has a soft spot for those he had directly created. Renathul being the key example. Even the Dreadlords knew hurting the Prince would enrage the master.
-
Locus Walker spared Loth a true death (Loth was a demonic dreadlord) because he saw a path where Loth would redeem themselves by joining the Army of the Light. And given that the void can see multiple paths, I am sure Locus Walker would’ve seen if Loth would be a fraud in this case.
denath ain’t even canon imo
Leader of dreadlords is like malganis or whoever we didn’t kill in legion. I forget which ones are dead
This could be possible but there’s two big obstacles. What about?
-
The fact that it was agents of the Light who successfully discovered a Nathrezim infiltrator. This discovery is why the Naaru launched a counterattack on Revendreth and made the Ember Ward.

Xe’ra. Lothraxion was serving under Xe’ra in the Army of the Light. Xe’ra was a Light hardliner, had experience with the Nathrezim as enemies and was telepathic and could prophesy. How could Lothraxion hide treachery from someone like her, especially since she could read minds and see the future?
