just found a rather annoying bug for the quest "A true Draenor Angler" where I as an Alliance player was shown on my map that the turn in for this quest is in frostfire ridge, which i found out is the exact place where the horde one is.
I have same issue... on the campfire in frostfire... and he's not here either...
Same problem here. Such a long boring quest chain and I can't even turn it in.
Any known fix to this?

It looks like we recently implemented a hotfix that deals with Nat Pagle and the quests associated with him (i.e. "The Great Angler Returns"). He may have temporarily despawned when the fix went in and will return shortly but we're looking into it.

I am having the same problem. I am at frostfire ridge trying to turn in the quest A True Angler but nothing is there? I can't turn it in. What do I do now?
looks like this has been going on a long time and I see someone was talking about a hot fix back in March? Any chance we can get one NOW? Thanks.
Nagle wasn't at the campfire in Frostfire. I was able to turn in at my garrison.
I'm having a different bug. I have caught 7 Blind Lake Lunkers in Shadowmoon Valley, but none of them counted towards the quest. I've fished for hours in the other regions and can't catch any other kind.
Anyone else having this issue?

Late response, I know. However, i've got the same bug as Siddis and Baaynor.
Talked with Blizz. They said it's just broken, and they'll have to patch it later.

I was literally just having this issue yesterday, so after failing again today I abandoned the quest, picked it up again applied the lure twice, put the quest on track found a random pool and a few casts later it's working now.
Not sure if it's the abandoning quest that fixes it or the tracking or the applying the lure twice but give it a shot cause that line of events seems to have worked for me and it only took 1 cast in Talador to get the lunker as well so far its been super quick.
EDIT: Can also validate that I swear its almost quicker to catch them outside of a fish pool as crazy as that sounds.
I have the bug where I cant get the Shadowmoon lunker to count as an update, its just going into my bags. I have 11 of them now - no update. Got it just fine in Talador and Spires though, so maybe I will drop the quest and retake it and see while I am waiting on my ticket.
-edit-
I got the update. I think the thing that is causing this bug is people are able to catch the lunker before the quest, and having them in your bags might trigger it to go IN the bag instead of as a quest update, since I put them all in bank and retook quest and got it within 10 casts in Shadowmoon.

I can't believe how long this has been broken. And why would they have us turn it in @ Frostfire instead of the fishing shack anyway? Well. no Pagle, no soup for me. Won't bother with a ticket--obviously, they have no plans to fix it...
Would like to say that this is still a thing....

I have 8 blind lake lunkers and it still wont register that I caught one in my quest. please god fix this.
Do NOT have any rep turn-in (Blue text named) lunkers in your bags when you fish for this quest. They will cause your current lunker catches to process as reputation fish instead of temporary quest lunkers (which are invisible and not seen in your bag). Didn't want to abandon quest as start the 2 hours of fishing over again, so I can now confirm for you that taking the blue-named lunkers out of your bag and putting them in your bank (to turn in to Nat Pagle later on) DOES FIX the quest and the very next Enormous fish I caught without those lunkers in my bag successfully completed the Shadowmoon Valley portion of the quest, which was the last part I needed. The issue is apparently the ability to proc turn-in lunkers before you've done this stage of the quest. So if you're holding onto them to turn in when you get Nat Pagle into your garrison, stick them in the bank before fishing for this quest.

I had all of mine in the bank and it still glitched and went in my bag instead. I have total of 13 at this point. I'm going to try ONE more time to see if it works with them all in the bank or I'll try trashing them all to start with zero and hope it works. How ridiculous that this has been going on for so long.
EDIT - It worked. I put all the lunkers from the bank into my bag along with the one I caught while on the quest that should have counted, then put them all BACK in the bank. Went back to SMV and caught it after about 20ish casts and that time it counted.
