Quite the opposite. I come up with names I like all the time but have no time or patience to expand my alt pool.

I have one name, I just toss the class or a reference somewhere in the mix. I’m pretty boring like that, but everyone in my guild know who I am.

Yup, I have a couple of characters with place holder names until I think of something better.

Sometimes. It has taken me a while to come up with names I like that aren’t taken and I end up using the same few go-to names on the various servers I play on. It annoys me when I find a good one but then it has been taken on a different server!
One problem (for me) is I occasionally feel like switching my name to one of my alts. Sure, you can delete then rename, but Blizz is smart enough to make you name change twice if you want to restore that character and it’s name is taken. It’s much easier if it’s just a level 1 name-saving toon. Thankfully, the urge isn’t that strong and I think I’ve only paid for a name change twice over the years.

but I love it that in game I am always “Hey Warrior”

My entire naming convention is __aad
Former main: Kaad
Alts: Caad, Daad, Maad, Haad, Zaad, Faad, Laad… etc

Currently changing my Druid, again, for guild purposes. She is the perfect night elf but finding a good troll name has had me stumped the past 48 hours. Don’t even get me started on my undead rogue. 
I’m not clever enough to think of witty names so I just keep hitting the random name generator until I see something that looks ok and I can pronounce. Maybe switch, add, or remove a letter here or there and bam, good enough.

I try to do the theme naming deal, like match an appropriate name for the race of the toon I’m making but as you can see, it’s not working out.

If it’s a girl troll, name her Jmonika or something similar. I like that name but gave it to another BE.

LapDanceHot
XtraBigBoner
Obviously I chose the best one which is XtraBigBoner. The others were a bit childish.
