Name staining

After attempting to join a guild yesterday, I found out that I got my name stained (other than by myself here in the forums). It was claimed that I “ninjaed” the final chest on Uldaman from a group and my entry to the guild was denied.

I made sure to inform the group that it was my first time running Uldaman on Classic and that I did not know how it worked in there. By the end of it, I opened a chest and looted the gear inside, but no rolls were prompted, which made me believe each person gets their own random loot from that chest.

No one said a thing, no one questioned, no one informed me or anyone else in the group about how that specific chest worked, the only effort put was to ruin somebody else’s game rather than add to it with basic kindness or helpfulness. The only information I learned from the dungeon was that you can aggro the last boss to the upper room. I would at least have explained about the tornados as well.

Next time you see someone doing something wrong, give them the benefit of the doubt. Ask them, talk to them, understand it better before you go around doing this, be less toxic! God nows I’ve seen people need roll by accident and immediately offer to give the item to whoever needs it.

I hope this cleans my name. I’m starting to consider livestreaming my game the entire time just so I can “have proof” of things, including how the Alliance has it worse on wPvP while questing.

I hope any higher ranks of Clan Battlehammer are reading this.

Hot take: ulda loot doesn’t matter

Seen this multiple times across dungeons. If you don’t care about loot, that’s perfectly fine, but do respect the players who do. Had to listen this excuse one too many times from toxic players trying to justify their behavior.

Time to become a Dwarf mercenary and become a one-man-orc-killing legend.

As someone with over a thousand hours of Dark Souls 1, I wish the bondaries of WoW would allow for that.

Even I forget sometimes that chest is loot and not some quest item. It’s not obvious and doesn’t make sense that after looting the boss, you have more loot in a random stone container that also doesn’t start a roll.

But at least when I did it on my alt the other day, it was all regular greens so should be tradeable. The group I was in didn’t even explain that we should all roll for it. Two people were rolling as we killed the boss and didn’t explain why and the rest of us were just doing the quest. I went to loot and linked the items in chat, only to watch the two of them split the loot while the rest of us got nothing.

Didn’t feel like saying anything, but it’s a bad design element in general. Things need to be explained sometimes because not all groups do things the same way.

People will forget about it, it’s not a big deal. Ulda loot is replaced in basically 3-5 levels. And ultimately all your gear will be replaced close to 60 quickly.

The leveling experience is supposed to be about learning.

nobody will care or remember pre-60 loot

Pretty sure he was trying to tell you that even though you made a mistake, it doesn’t matter because its a level 40 dungeon.

Exactly. And if a guild flat out rejects you because of an something which was probably an accident, concerning loot that doesn’t matter, maybe you can find a better guild. if this issue came up in my own guild you’d get the benefit of the doubt and perhaps an extended probation to prove you aren’t a sheister.

Good luck op

If it exists in Warhammer, it exists in WoW.

After all this wouldn’t exist without Warhammer. (Don’t think I don’t know about that Blizz)

Its okay, my first wc run i opened all the chests…

Exemplify our people’s culture by recompensating those you had taken the items from with their equivalent value in gold. It is certainly an honest mistake to make, but we dwarves must put our wrongs right just as our ancestors did before us.

Speaking of your name being stained, and not to derail by anymeans, but your names like one letter away from being inappropriate. Perhaps they didnt care for that either lol.

I agree with everyone else though, find a better guild.

I believe this is important to mention: I’ve been informed that Clan Battlehammer will be handling cases such as this with more care for now on
