I swear when i took a break from wow at the begining of Dragonflight our Characters Names and Titles and such were above our heads! Now they are under our feet?? Am i imagining this lol!
Anyhow is there a way to move your characters name back above your head? Or do i need an add on?
Not referring to the name plates, Just our printed names!

Mine are not. i do not understand why. ive gone through the options several times and im eaither missing something or dont know what im looking for!
Turn your computer monitor right side up and see if that helps.

do you have ui addons, it might be one of those.
Edit: I use elvui and was snooping around in there, and there is a blizzard cvar to show nameplate at base. So that’s probably how your cvar is set up, and many of those are not toggleable in the options and usually use a slash command script to change, or there are addons that can also adjust cvars.
I see them above the heads. I don’t have mine turned on usually, but a few days ago I did and it was above my head. lol

Unless you mean the UI thing. Blizz moved it from the upper left to the lower/middle left close to the bottom UI. Most players use add on’s anyway so probably different…
Suggestion: Check your addons and see if one of them is messing it up?
To stinkblade and Tazen i use bartender , i guess ill go browse through that. Hopefully i can fix it cus its kinda annoying lol
Are you talking about the names on top of character heads? Or do you mean the little picture of yourself with your health/focus bar?
