So I have a character on alliance side that I wanna restore but the game won’t let me because I have a horde toon now with the same name. Is there a way to get rid of the horde toon so I can get back on the ally or am I screwed? It tells me that I can’t restore it because there is an active character with the same name
Delete him?
You can either delete the Horde character, which will creeate the same problem if you ever decide to restore it, or you can buy a name change.
Some people were using this as a tactic to get free name changes in Classic WoW. Blizz seems to have put a stop to it. So you can no longer try to restore a toon with same name to get a name change forced.. you might have to delete one and have it stay deleted. Or might be possible CS can help but I kinda doubt it as it would seem to them that you were probably trying to go for the free name change exploit that some were doing, Works sometimes, but now most times it does not. You might end up losing one permently now.
Can’t in SoD.
