Aranthil sounds closest to Menethil. Probably the most lore-friendly.

Aranthil for sure

I like Aranvar the most. It kind of rolls nicely, assuming I’m pronouncing it right.

I’m sorry, it’s difficult for me to accurately get a pronunciation out. I can only trust you are sounding it out right.

Out of those options, I’d vote Aranvar. Aranthil is too close to Menethil and Aranthul is too close to Aman’thul.

If you want some more options, visit nameplz, stick in the prefix “Aran”, and see what it generates.

Well there’s nothing wrong with taking inspiration from previous names.

A male mage? What race? I like Aranvar personally but they’re all good.

Human. I was initially going to go with Gnome named Norbin but eventually I decided to go Warlock on that. (He says looking at Void elf and Dark Iron for Warlock)

anduinsslave that’s ur toons name if you dare go alliance you filthy traitor to the horde.

Aranthil sounds too Elvish. I prefer Aranthul.

Aranthul has a nordic sound to it so that would fit a human mage but it’s up to you.

I prefer Aranvar because that seems more masculine as well as could be a fighters name and human mages have that build so it would make sense.

Well, humans did learn magic from elves first so I thought it’d make sense for them to have similar sounding names.
