Please post if you believe that paid name changes would be desired and not affect the feel of classic wow.
I have been a fan since 2005 and payed many many dollars to blizzard and I’m sure many many other players would do the same.
Nobody wants to reroll a toon in classic just for a different name. We are already paying for a subscription. Why not pay for this too?
I have seen people get their guild to report them so they get a name change for free.
Blizzard should look into mass guild reports and hand out a nice slap on the wrist.
If they’re the same price as realm transfers (becuz of ninjas transfering) I don’t see why they shouldn’t be allowed

No. Names are important for maintaining a reputation. If you can change it every time you ninja the Mageblade, then that effect dissapates.

Good points, now that you menation it I was spamming for one dps for SM yesterday and somebody just pst’ed me just to say they know me cos they had quested with my alt who has a very similar name.
Would a long lock out after a name change work? Maybe one change every 6 months at most?

Let’s remember… liberties should not be taken away from 2997 ppl just because 3 are unworthy.
Although I see why someone would want to change their name I would vote against it. Simply enough all PvE content in Classic is server restricted; there is no cross realm dungeon finder or anything of the sort. That also means your reputation on the server matters; if you do well in dungeons, are a decent human being people will enjoy playing with you. If you are a douche then the opposite will occur; I dont think a system that would enable people to “wipe the slate clean” should be present at this point.

Why it’s not allowed? Very simple: Reputation.
It forces players to behave as they will otherwise get blacklisted by everyone for acting like an a$$hat all the time. If they are allowed to have name changes, it means someone with deep enough pockets can allow themselves to act out their worst instincts knowing that they can just pay for a new name people on their server won’t recognize.
