Name changes encourage poor behavior

Ninja DST, change name. Ninja DST next week, sell it for 100k gold. Sell the gold, buy another name change. Repeat.

Name changes were never suppose to be in this version of the game. Forced name changes are fine. This pay to change your name bs is the base of a ton of negativity currently in the game.

Enforce voice comms for runs. Its an old eve trick and why most are sticklers for it there. Sometimes paranoia actually has benefits.

You may forget a name, or they can roll alts. But….you will remember the voice of a dude if they do great things. Or burned you and/or your corp bad.

Useful in eve since there chars can be sold/transfered too lol. Like one time sitting in recruitement channel for our corp. A name shows up looking to join.

My first corp CEO’s (eve’s gm’s) name. Per SOP, we send link to voice comm public channel. Dude what is up! Its been years man.

Its not his voice responding back.

Okay….dude I know this char is bought. I recall your voice but can’t place your personal main’s name. How’d you get this char and can you throw me a name I’d remember for your main.

I get that info, I go I remember now! BS about the old days a bit and tell my peeps I will give the dude a vouch.

I feel like trying to convince someone they can reliably sells DSTs every week is the real world equivalent to trying to tell people they can day trade their way to wealth.

Lmao seriously. This is borderline impossible to do and idk why people have this fantasy in their head that they can do it.

Like selling DSTs consistently? Sure that you can do. But forming a raid consistently with 24 other people who are completely unaware of your intention to ninja DST…yeah that’s just not happening lol.

uhh what dude? it happens quite literally every day. Are you even playing tbc? The trinket is selling online for 900$. Why do you think they are charging 900$ for it? Because people are paying it. If they don’t have buyers lined up the price drops. That’s how these things work in the real world. Actual clown

Imagine all this for something that makes you do an extra 25k-50k in a boss fight.

Parsing ruins the game how??

imagine parsing in a 30 year old game. THE SWEAT IS REAL

22 year old game? Vanilla released in 2004?

I’ll say it again:
Release a fresh Vanilla server, no add-ons, no 3rd party websites like Warcraft logs and watch the Community/Classic fix itself.

If you can’t enjoy a 2004 Fantasy MMO RPG with no add-ons and no parsing than perhaps, we know the problem is the player not the game.

Back when lore/Fantasy/Exploration/Community mattered not how good your parse was.

Nope:
RACE TO 60
GET MY PRE-BIS! MINE! MINE! Hard ******* RESERVED
RAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID!

I’m bored… can we get TBC allready

Parsing doesn’t even help you in raids anyway that require you to keep moving.

My raid leader keeps yelling, “If I see any of you clowns focus more or parsing than surviving, I’m kicking you out of this raid!”.

Sign me up!

Well we’re Horde, but we are always welcoming to newcomers to join us!

My guild is Disco Lemonade, Dreamscythe, and we have cleared TK and SSC every week and now have two separate groups for them, feel free to drop by and join us!

Staying on topic, yes, parsing doesn’t keep you and the raid alive.

You should have seen the forum noise when that feature went into the game if you weren’t there. For this exact reason, same with server transfers (we don’t have those). Bad behavior could be erased with a purchase.

I could be wrong about this, but I think when someone changes their name if they are on any lists the list has the new name not the old. Guild, friends, maybe ignore?
