Naleidea Rivergleam (voice acting) made me uninstall Dragonflight

Considering the usual low level Classic alt with less than 200 post count? And a thread insulting a voice actor - specifically in Dragonflight, at that - and bringing up “the direction Warcraft is going”?

Yeah, seems fairly obvious.

I’m trying to remember who Naleidea even is - is she the Horde representative for the Expedition? The blood elf?

If so, big lmao. Her voice is smooth as butter, very pleasant to listen to.

Edit: Scrolled up a bit (I usually don’t read an entire thread through) and yeah, the blood elf. My statement stands - girl’s got an incredibly smooth voice, just the right touch of sensual alongside a much more cool-headed, calm presence to offset Toddy’s exuberance. OP, if they somehow aren’t a troll, must just hate soft, deeper voices for women.

Oh, her.

Yeah I’d be lying if I said I loved her popping up to tell me things or swooning over Khadgar but WoW has had far, far worse as anyone who played horde could tell you with listening to the sniveling simp that was Nathanos.

Anyone else smell something funny?

Yeah I’m pretty accustomed to poor voice acting in the game. Not sure why this particular one would cause someone to rage quit.

A lil bit, yeah.

These are those who are using the term ‘woke’ as a pejorative.

Yeah. Perception is a really funny thing, but at least for me, that voice is 100% certified Grade-A come-and-get-it.

Y’all know you can mute the game right lmfao

I love her voice, seriously. I’m enjoying the voice acting this exp. About the only voices that made me cringe a little are the Tuskarr.

The only reason i remember her as an npc is because of how fantastic her voice is  now sendrax or the majordomo on the other hand…

Originally Warcraft had some silly/lighthearted elements as a way of offsetting the overall heavier tone of the Warhammer inspired setting and story that they were using. 20 years later we’re just in the full Flanderization stage.

I love the voice but I don’t love it for the character. I always think of traditional higher pitched elf voices when I think of Blood Elves.

If she were a human then I wouldn’t think twice about it.

It just seems a bit misplaced as a blood elf. Almost like they did it on purpose so we would have a discussion about it.

This is the OP all but announcing their intentions with this thread. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

No, the horribly cheesy line she had in the prepatch, “GUARDS, arrest this handsome wizard,” was not met well. I also don’t think OP was going after the actor, but the horrible writing/directing.

I dont even know who that is and what she said.

I tune most of the dialogue out.

Of course not! I won’t even bother responding to those unhinged accusations.

I’ve got a feeling that the worse things get with current WOW, the more erratic and aggressive this brigading and bullying is going to become. If you can’t be allowed to criticize elements of a franchise you enjoy on any online platform by insane gatekeepers, what’s going to happen to the market performance of that game? They’ll be designing a game for a small herd of angry psychopaths, lose their employment, and wonder what happened?

Nobody who cares about Blizzard acts like this, or they’ve somehow convinced themselves they’re helping. Tragic.

Open option pannel and turn off voices?

Some people sure love to complain about stuff they can fix themselves.

Yeah, its called being brainwashed. If you can’t do anything anymore without calling everything woke or fascist you have mental issues and need to lock your phone away.
