Naga Razaer on imac?

I really would like to use it on my M3 iMac, but I’m reading in some places where they say it doesn’t work. I will not be using modifier keys like Ctrl Alt, etc. So the razor you know with the multiple buttons I just wanna make sure that’ll work before I actually buy one.
Thank you

Hello friend. The main issue with Razer Naga on Mac is that the software that you would use in order to customize it (i.e.: the rgb color, the assigning of key binds to the keys) is no longer updated for MacOS. You could potentially find some third party software like Karabiner to do the job but I don’t have experience with getting that to work.

As a former Naga user, I’ve migrated to the Corsair Scimitar. They have a wired and wireless version, the software runs on MacOS, and the concept is the same, 12-button grid for your thumb. Hope that helps in some way.

You’re welcome! :cupcake:

Hi ! I was using my Razer Naga Hex V2 for years on my Intel MacBook and Intel iMac but with BigSur the Razer Synapse app was no longer supported. For some time I was using Mouse Overdrive app which was fine but sometimes it was causing problems.

Now I have been playing with Corsair Scimitar Rgb Elite for few years now. Love this mouse. Atm I am playing on my Mac Studio and both the keyboard and mouse works perfectly.

Corsair does support both Intel/ARM Macs.

I just purchased the Scimitar Elite.

I recommend it so far. I also like that the Scimitar Elite has built-in memory for up to 5 profiles on the mouse. Meaning, you can set the profiles using the ICUE software, save it to the mouse, and then plug it in to another machine without needing the software.

One quirk with the mouse is the extended keys on the side do not work while the ICUE software is open and customizing the mouse. I have to quit the ICUE software after making and saving my changes.

As for the Naga (I own the latest version, and the original version.) , I had the first version which had a hardware switch to change the side buttons from the number keys to the numbers on the numpad. That’s allI really needed however the newer versions excluded this hardware switch. Now you have to use their software which so bloated at this time.

I still have the original Naga (wireless) moreover I lost the charging base so I can only use it wired. Moreover, I still prefer that version versus the new one though I will say the spacing on the buttons are better on the new version.

This is not a problem on the Corsair Scimitar Elite as it includes hardware to reposition the buttons on the side. In addition, I like the Scimitar better when I have to spam an ability like Smite on my disc priest. The buttons don’t feel squishy thought I’m not sure if they’re mechanical on the Scimitar.
